I went to the Guillermo del Toro exhibit yesterday and died from all the haunting elegance.
I was tagged by the amazing @millicentcordelia to pick six movies I can watch at any time. Thank you! Also you remind me that I have to change the fact that I never have seen Arsenic and Old Lace so far. And wow this is not easy either I have a bazillion movies in mind or just sort all of them out because they don´t fully fit the requirement. I guess I am too much dependent on my mood when it comes down to watch movies unless I´m watching them with other people then I´m 190% more willing to watch almost anything. Also I´ve said about several movies that you can watch them over and over and still notice new details .. which one where those again ^^°
1. Pans Labyrinth This one is just as good as entertaining, emotional but not too sad and you have something to talk about it afterwards if you want. Truly something for almost all occasions.
2. The Boondock Saints because watching Norman Reedus never gets old and even if I don´t consider them good movies they are entertaining and I´ve seen them several times so I know they just work more than once.
3. Dracula (1931) Or just any of them (including all blood suckers that are named Nosferatu) but I might need some snacks or chatting (I never knew how much fun you can have with the 1931 movie before watching with it with a friend) if I don´t have the patience for the slow pacing in some of them. (Also there is a disturbing lack of Horror on this list .. )
4. Crimson Peak this is my Tom Hiddleston input on this list which I have already seen twice in theater and I still want to see it again. The visuals and acting are just so stunning that you can overlook the issues with the story and can get lost in them again and again ..
5. Kriminaltango 1960 because it´s one I can always watch with my family, there are a few more of this kind but I choose that one because now I´ve got the song and the other one not the other other ones though stuck in my head. There is no gif I had to make one
Ok there were still three movies in the run for the last spot and I just blind picked one aaand the winner is:
6. Mad Max Fury Road so little words and so much story also I was hooked while watching the first time, some action movies just get boring at a certain point not this one and this is actually a prediction but I just can´t imagine that watching it again will bore me even if it´s again “only” for the stunning visuals
I´m tagging @thesinguin @thegirlinthewhitejersey @mythreedaysofgrace @frostyoswalds @cobblepotspenguins @mizzkilljoy @oswald-cobblepot-addicted @hisana123 but of course only in case you want to do this. Moreover I´m tagging everyone who sees this, meaning YOU (yes I´m selfish and want movie recommendations :D)
