Go to Pinterest and type in art deco furniture or a room of some type (bedroom, dining room, study, living room) in the search box. There you'll find examples of how I think Penguin would REALLY decorate.
The last fic I wrote, I based Oswald’s bedroom off a bedroom from an Astaire/Rogers film. That’s it on the left; I imagined it as having less chiffon and more black, a couple of white marble fireplaces, and a huge portrait of Oswald in white tie and tails. The bedroom on the right would be more the style of that vampire-goth throne room of his.
This set from Crimson Peak would be the ultimate bedroom to match that throne room. It goes with Oswald’s “look” rather well. (my gif)
@faker-faker-jordan-baker I’d like to see some of your ideas! And, does anyone else have any ideas about what Oswald’s bedroom would look like?
Starting to read this my mind went to crimson peak and bam there is the picture. I can´t tell you how much I adore this bedroom. And it´s such a perfect fit for his throne room. I could picture a more edgier modern look to but I can´t find any pictures that match the one in my head right now, but one thing I don´t see is a spacious room it´s not necessarily cluttered but I can´t picture something with a lot of empty free space that´s maybe even light flooded.
That´s something I can´t fully wrap my head around too, the comparison between Cobblepot and Don Falcone. With Don Falcone the interior was lighter and in some way more modern than what we have with Oswald´s candle & fire lit rooms. With their clientele it´s just the other way round. Falcone had the rather traditional looking, grown up and established underbosses and with Oswald we have a younger, edgy and more modern crowd, that´s even more sprawled round the table instead of the seating arrangement of Falcone´s dinner (ok that´s probably due to the nature of the events and the different stages of their empires)
