Nothing ever touches your heart the same way as becoming invested in a new ship for the first time. No matter how many times you rewatch the show, how many edits you watch, nothing ever feels quite as magical as that first time you felt them touch your soul. And once the show has finished, or there’s no more new content, or the ship is no longer alive, you spend forever chasing that feeling you had when you first found them. It’s like a little piece of that ship wedges itself in your heart forever, and you’ll always be grateful for those moments of comfort, happiness and love it gave you, but still feel a little heartbroken without it.
