Take Me There to Disneyland

How I feel about this character: Um…he’s good, I guess? I know some people find his roar a bit annoying, but meh, I don’t think it’s that bad. …Except maybe in the Star Wars Holiday Special, where there are whole scenes of nothing but Wookiees roaring at each other, but come on, that’s not really Chewie’s fault, that’s…everyone-who-thought-that-a-Star-Wars-Holiday-Special-was-a-good-idea’s fault. I do also think it’s kind of sweet that Lucas based Chewie at least slightly on his own beloved dog Indiana, who when she sat in the passenger seat while he was driving often looked like a furry “co-pilot” due to how big she was. Sorry – being a dog owner myself, I really like the sentiment.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Nooooo. I know he kind of had a wife in the Holiday Special (unless it was his…mother? Aunt? OH WHO CARES), but I prefer not to remember it exists. DX

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Han Solo and Chewie are total besties forever. Even if it’s creepy that Han can go gray while Chewie NEVER AGES. Oh well, guess it’s sort of like the Muppets – would we really want to see Chewie getting old?

My unpopular opinion about this character: Don’t think I’ve said anything that controversial.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Oh, you mean, besides that the person who first proposed a Star Wars Holiday Special be boiled in oil? Nothing much.
