Happy holidays, everyone! Today I have a special gift for you -- a cover of a song from one of the holiday specials I watched all the time as a kid, Stories from Beauty and the Beast and the Enchanted Christmas! (The wonderful instrumental is courtesy of KaraQueen: here’s the link if you’d like to record your own cover!) Even if the movie in question is a real mixed bag quality-wise, I still have a nostalgic soft spot for it thanks to the musical performances by Belle’s voice actress, Paige O’Hara, and my curly girl icon, Bernadette Peters. This song in particular always spoke to me when I was little, perfectly encapsulating my love of and passion for books and fairy tales, and even if this was a bit of a challenge to record, it was so much fun to channel ma chere princesse through singing it.
