Jesus, this one hurts.
The Emperor and the Empress
The Empress: A woman you really admire
Anne Frank! She was truly a remarkable writer, and especially considering her young age, her words are really quite profound. She truly had a gift – it is such a shame she never got to write more.
Everyone has inside of him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is! - Anne Frank
The Emperor: A man you really admire
The Marquis de Lafayette! I’ve discussed this before because Lafayette is my dear Marquis and I love him so much, but I still can’t get over how brave, selfless, and noble it was for him to sacrifice so much – financially and personally – in order to go fight in another country’s war for independence for no other reason than because he thought it was right. He even originally offered to join the Americans as a soldier in the ranks, not an officer despite his noble heritage, at his own expense – admittedly, yes, he could afford it, but it still was unheard of, even among the wealthier members of the Continental Army. Ma chere Gilbert, how I love thee – I’m glad at least that Daveed Diggs has made more people fall in love with you as I did so long ago.
True republicanism is the sovereignty of the people. There are natural and imprescriptable rights which an entire nation has no right to violate.”
- Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette
HUFFLEPUFF: “I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.” -Anne Frank
