James followed, setting things on the table.

Winter and Freyja washed their hands before joining them at the table.

Warren helped hildr carry dinner to the table before sitting down, Dexter laying down under his chair

Eve looked at everyone

“How was your day today Eve?” Winter and Freyja asked at the same time.

“It was good, I helped my mom do stuff and we went out. How was yours? ”

“It was good, I’m excited for the physics mixed class.”

“That’s nice. ”

Warren looked at Hildr and james “hey a couple of my friends are going on a trip and they asked if I wanted to come. Can I go with them? They leave in a couple of weeks”

“Do you know where, and which weekend?” James asked, he didn’t have a problem with it, as long as it wasn’t the weekend Hildr wanted them all to go away as a family.

“They want to go to Maine and it would like three weeks from now” he started to eat his dinner

“How long will is the trip supposed to be? ”

James stroked Hildr’s thigh.

“Like a week”

Hildr looked at him not really sure what to say “a week? ”

James looked over at her. “How about your mom and I talk about it and we will give you an answer when we decide. You said you wouldn’t be missing school with it right?”

Warren looked at him. “Well yeah since it’s a break that week, so school is off. ”

Hildr looked at Warren. “Yeah I think your dad and I should talk about it”

James nodded. He wasn’t sure when Hildr wanted to take their family vacation.

Warren started to eat

Eve looked at all of them and sighed

“Eve is something wrong?”

“No.. ” she said as she started to eat

James sighed, looking at his daughter. He knew something was bothering her and it seemed to revolve around what Warren wanted to do.”

“I’m not. ” eve said not looking at him or any of them

“Eve please, don’t shut us out.”

“I’m not dad. I just don’t feel like talking right now”

Hildr looked at her. “Okay that’s alright. You can always come to us when you’re ready. ”

Hildr nodded. “Or you could always go to your grandparents or my uncle or aunt. ”

She settled into the tub and smiled
