a transparent martyr enjolras for your blog because I just can’t stop myself combining greek statues and mucha and dubious religious iconography with my faves :)
the original version of this had loads of flowers all round his head and they were all heavily symbolic and there was background shit planned but something just seemed off, so I reduced it down to a simple halo and I was like “fucking dammit, this actually looks loads better” so. yeah. annoying. but hey.

He repeated: “Vive la République!” crossed the room with a firm step, and took his place before the muskets beside Enjolras. “Two at one shot,” said he. And, turning towards Enjolras gently, he said to him: “Will you permit it?” Enjolras grasped his hand with a smile. The smile was not finished when the report was heard.
