I didn't wind up using any of these for the thing I'm writing, but these idioms would be perfect to use as Hobbit-specific sayings.

For example, Dwarves might use idioms like "tough as a diamond" or "a stone's throw away" and Hobbits might say "stubborn as a mule" or "you're barking up the wrong tree."
