Zercey:  A bit pessimistic, she has already resigned herself to never going back to Earth. Jaded and with a subtle sarcasm, she’s happiest when she’s cooking or learning about Illthdarian plants and wildlife. A self-depreciating perfectionist who knows that she shouldn’t expect as much out of herself, but does so anyway. Has a survivalist mentality about most things. A bit of a crowd-pleaser, tends to cave in easily to demands and requests of others. Hides her insecurities by trying to use Earth logic to give the impression of having more knowledge than she does about Illthdar. A bit bookish. A bit of an eccentric. She doesn’t like being sidelined and treated differently than others. Hating her first name with a passion, she prefers to go by her middle name. Her relationship with Lerki is most easily defined by the phrase “It’s complicated.”

Lerki:  Distracted and in his own world. He does as he pleases. Sensitive to others and their moods but rarely takes offence. Naturally confident in what he knows and rarely second-guesses himself. Likes being a part of nature and feels unwell if he is kept away from it (and other Venin) for too long. Has a habit of going away for long periods of time because of this. Often thinks Zercey should do things the way Venin do them because of her part-Venin heritage and winds up regretting his life choices because of it.
