I finally caught up on season 4 of mha and big surprise all I could think was what if these two goobers had quirks and went to ua 🥴 anyway here are my head canons
Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Quirk: Creation. She can create any object as long as she can envision how she’s going to use it/ how it will work in her mind. Activating her quirk takes a lot of energy though, and so for now she can only make something a couple times a day, and only if she snacks in between. She finds that sugar and sweets works best and always has small cookies or macarons on her. Her parents both have quirks too, and her moms is fairly similar to hers, but they use their quirks to help run their bakery. Marinette is the first in her family to try to become a hero.
Adrien Agreste, Quirk: Destruction. He can destroy any object he touches, though similarly it takes a lot of energy and his destruction becomes weaker over time the more he tries to use it. For now he can only fully destroy objects his size or smaller, and can only use one hand at a time. Adrien walks into UA with a target on his back, because of who’s kid he is. His parents, Gabriel and Emelie Agreste were once one of the higher ranking super hero duos of the country, particularly search and rescue heroes. Emelie would use her destruction power to make paths and get rid of debris and rubble, while Gabriel would use his ability to control the minds of emotionally vulnerable people to help them calm down and navigate out disaster. Unfortunately a few years ago Emelie Agreste was fatally wounded on hero duty and died from her resulting injuries. Heartbroken and bent on changing a world that could kill his wife, Gabriel renounces his old hero name and becomes Hawkmoth, who now uses his quirk for evil, manipulating those in their most vulnerable states to do his dirty work. When Adrien walks into UA, everyone knows he’s the son of Hawkmoth, and so students steer clear of him, worried they can’t trust him and that he’s bound to follow in his fathers footsteps.
When the new class begins at UA, Marinette finds herself initially dismissive and untrusting of Adrien as well. People even immediately point out that their quirks are the exact opposite from one another. Then they eventually develop a real relationship with each other, because first and foremost they’re both underdogs because neither of their quirks are flashy power quirks, and because they find themselves working together a lot during training. When it’s time for the students to work on the stamina of their quirks, Marinette has to make as many objects as she can, and Adrien has to keep destroying them. This brings them closer together and they find that they have a really great chemistry between them. They also bond over trying to get physically stronger, and think about how they can utilize their quirks smarter to make them better heroes.
In spite of their weaker quirks, they find out they’re really versatile and when used strategically virtually limitless. They also both eventually start carrying around support items for their costumes, a yo-yo for Marinette and a retractable staff for Adrien. The two of them quickly rise in the rank of their class, and find success when they find themselves thrown up against villains. From their first year together in school they decide that when they graduate they want to stick together and eventually form their own agency. They also absolutely still have crushes on each other, but they both think those feelings aren’t reciprocated and they don’t want to ruin their partnership so they just dance around that for awhile and all their classmates think it’s dumb lol
Anyway that’s pretty much it, I could go on but this is already so long. What do you think what are your headcanons??!? Which ml students would be in the hero course, and which might do the hero support tech??
