What kind of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

Going Postal Part 1 (2010) - “Read my lips: Words do not kill! People kill. Wild animals kill. But words… words have a totally different power. They enter in through our eyes and ears and work their way into our souls.”

Fifteen Favorite Things I Watched in 2010 | 11. Going Postal
I stopped in a WH Smith during my October trip to London and spotted the colorful artwork for this DVD among their new releases, and decided to pick it up on a whim. I’d heard of Terry Pratchett but had never read any of his work, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was in for - it looked like a quirky Pushing Daisies-type fantasy story which seemed right up my alley - and it was. It was wonderful: funny, offbeat, and really pretty. I love Richard Coyle in Coupling but he’s absolutely brilliant as Moist Von Lipwig, a convicted con man who survives the noose and is sentenced to re-open the defunct post office in the city of Ankh-Morpork. It’s a lovely story and I’m looking to start Pratchett’s Discworld series in 2011.
