I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted (life is so busy!) but I had to come on to share that I proposed to @themalfoymanner this evening on our quiet beach at sunset, and she said yes!!!!!!!! :) We are getting married!!! I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to call this incredible woman my fiancée. When I think back on how we first started talking on tumblr years ago and how much we gone through together, I am filled with endless gratitude. Thank you to all of you who have followed our relationship and supported us every step of the way 💙

We talk as much as we can and write together almost every day, which is incredibly intimate and emotional and makes me feel so, so close to her. And we do what we can to show that we’re thinking about each other and appreciate each other. And idk, I love her so much that it transcends distance, so I always feel like she’s with me

And we won’t be long distance for long! We’ll be together soon enough, so waiting a little until then seems like nothing :)

I’ve had this in my inbox for several days because I haven’t had the time to give this the response it deserves. But today is National Girlfriends Day, so I’m making time to give you the scoop on my incredible girlfriend and our relationship.

@themalfoymanner and I are so fucking wonderful, thank you for asking :) Every day that she’s been in my life has been brighter than all the rest of my life combined, and now that we’re officially together, I wake up every morning with a shy, ecstatic smile on my face knowing she’s mine and I’m hers. Sometimes she calls me her personal sun, but the fact of the matter is she’s the one that makes me burn- bright and full and warm. 

I should have known why ever since the first time we spoke (in character, in a RP), I’ve fallen head over heels for every single character she’s portrayed. Writing with her is a glimpse into the most beautiful mind I will ever know, and every piece that she shares with me is a gift. She’s the mirror of my soul, the moon of my life, and I fall for her all over again every day. 

I will always be grateful for this fandom, for this website. Because even though there will always be times where I feel upset or disconnected with the fandom, whether it be because of shitty publications or hateful anons or something in between, it brought me to her. And that is worth anything and everything.

It’s not weird at all, this is super sweet! And actually… we really are together now and are currently figuring out where we should live together :)

I can’t wait to start a life with her filled with haphazard stacks of books in every room, snuggly cats, passionate ramblings about Quadrophenia, lots of tattoos, porning it up together, shipping everyone we encounter, and decorating our walls with her beautiful paintings and photographs

I am legit sitting here with tears in my eyes, so very, very, very happy for you both. I was lucky enough to find someone in fandom whom I love and adore and share awesome cats and stacks of books and fannish theories and a cozy little home with, and I wish all the happiness and joy and beauty in the world on both of you. It’s funny–when we met you this weekend, I turned to Noe afterwards and said “if they’re not together yet, they will be” because you were just so RIGHT together, and now I’m ridiculously flailing because YOU TWO ARE ADORABLE AND WONDERFUL AND YAY FOR FANDOM-FOUND LOVE IT IS A BEAUTIFUL THING.

Within the Hogwarts library, old books can be found on the beginnings of magic. For some students, “A History of Magic” is more than sufficient. But some others delve further, craving more of how their world came to be and seeking knowledge about the essence dancing through their veins.  In a secluded section that seems to have its own pulsing aura, there are books detailing ancient forms of witchcraft. The books whisper to each other when someone passes, and if one listened closely enough, it would be heard that the voices are female. These writings focus on an instinctive sisterhood, holding the secrets to traditions now considered antiquated. When a few young female students discover these books, which are brimming with both tales and instructions, they decide to form a school club. This group, which has many titles but has earned the nickname, “The Reawakening,” welcomes anyone to join them in learning more about their ancestors. Before too long, they're drawing on the forms of magic expounded upon in the books, holding meetings in which they communicate to the magic residing within each other and combine their power to achieve new feats. Girls from all the houses participate, forming new bonds of friendship and dictating their discoveries and experiments in their own book- a book which will one day have its own place on the Hogwarts shelves.
