I shipped @themalfoymanner and myself so hard before we were dating! She’s my favorite person in the world, and has been since she first messaged me in character during a roleplay. I knew immediately that this was someone I wanted in my life. She’s the most incredible person I’ve ever met, and every day with her feels like the best day of my life. All my thoughts begin and end with her, and with the beautiful worlds we create together. I’m endlessly inspired by her, and with her, I feel like I can touch the stars. Like we are the stars. 

I feel so lucky that I got to actually marry my best friend, that I get to wake up next to her every morning, that I get to call her my wife :)

sliding on the floor in knit socks, the floral hint in earl grey tea, cheeks that ache from smiling, layers of bracelets clinking together, whispering words of encouragements to plants, the warmth of a cat in your lap, nose stuck in a book while crossing a street, runs in your tights, the lace of a bralette peeking out of your sweater, delicate tattoos winding up and down arms, laughing so hard you snort, berry stains on your fingers, the press of lips against your neck, paintbrushes forgotten in your hair, the click of a camera, stammering when words escape you, and the kiss of the ocean on your toes

“Everyone calls him Al, including his parents. James will sometimes call him Ally or Ally Cat, which always makes Al feel incredibly warm

He’s very quiet and kind, and tends to get lost in his thoughts. His daydreams can be so vivid that it takes him a few moments to readjust to reality, which can be jarring. He tries to do the right thing, but his tendency to hesitate and concern over getting in the middle of things can interfere with that. Although he’s generally non-confrontational, if he sees someone mistreating his friends or his brother, he gets worked up enough to defend them (and quite fiercely at that). His love for them is overpowering, and he considers it the most central part of himself

Al idolizes his big brother and his father, and never thinks he’ll manage to be as caring, powerful, or talented as either of them. He’s very hard on himself and tends to overlook his (numerous) gifts, chalking them up to dumb luck or people just being nice to him. This makes him push himself very hard and get upset with himself when he doesn’t live up to his (unrealistically high) expectations of himself

Al and Scorpius became friends their first night. Even though Scorpius strutted through the Great Hall like a prince surveying his kingdom, Al heard him crying softly in his bed that first night; Scor had heard all the whispers that followed him around, and despite his pride in his name and his family, they still hurt (even though he’s loathe to admit it). Al, who was terrified about being sorted into Slytherin and away from James, could commiserate, and he crawled onto Scor’s bed to comfort him. They talked for hours and fell asleep together, feet tangled together and fingers brushing

Al’s favorite classes are Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, and Potions (although he doesn’t consider himself very good at it). His magic is very powerful and instinctive, so he’s great at Transfiguration, Charms, and Defense, even if they don’t inspire him the same way. He finds Divination more interesting than Harry does (Scor and a few of their other friends take it), and sometimes wishes he were more sensitive to that sort of mystical, esoteric magic

He’s a Parseltongue and teaches it to Scor, and they spend many hours lying outside, conversing with snakes and letting them curl around their biceps. After they graduate, Al adopts a snake that hangs out in their garden; the snake’s very proprietary of Al and likes to bite him to mark his territory, but Al doesn’t mind (James does)

Al’s gay and comes out early his fourth year. Scorpius, who’s pan, comes out soon after by kissing Al in the middle of the Slytherin Common Room (thus settling numerous bets over when they’d finally get together) (this was hardly their first kiss, but they kept that to themselves)

Music is very important to Al- it soothes his soul in a way he can’t quite verbalize, and calms his nerves whenever they’re getting frayed. Classic rock, glam rock, and punk are his favorite genres, and if forced to pick a favorite musician, he’d say David Bowie, the Velvet Underground, The Clash, The Smiths, The Who, and Patti Smith

Like his dad, he hates attention- it makes him retreat into himself and wish he could melt into the floorboards. Luckily, like Tinkerbell, Scorpius requires adulation to survive, so whenever Al starts feeling flustered, Scorpius deftly plucks the spotlight and repositions it back to him, which Al appreciates

His slight stature and powerful magic help Al fly beautifully, although he’s not particularly interested in Quidditch. He’ll watch it on occasion with his family and will, of course, root for his mom and his brother whenever they have a game, but other than that, he could take it or leave it. He’s not competitive with other people and finds all the rowdiness that tends to accompany Quidditch games overwhelming

Al’s normal clothing consists of band shirts, dark, worn skinny jeans, and Converse. He’ll often throw on a knobbly jumper over his shirt, and he tends to worry the sleeves and pick at the wool. He starts wearing eyeliner and black nail polish when he’s a little older, and pierces his eyebrow his sixth year and his tongue his seventh year. He gets seven tattoos, including an ouroboros that’s magically linked to James’ tattoo and the Scorpio symbol on the inside of his wrist

Al loves puzzles and taking something complicated and figuring out how to untangle it and find meaning in it, which leads him to want to be a Curse-Breaker. He doesn’t think he’s brave or quick enough to do it, but with James’ unending encouragement, he applies to the program, gets in, and ends up excelling at it”

We are doing very, very well :) I’m sorry I haven’t been active lately, but I didn’t have a computer for a while and I’ve been very preoccupied with packing for a big move! 

I am currently, in fact, sitting in an airport waiting to board my flight because @themalfoymanner is waiting for me in our new apartment!!!!! With her sweet kitties that I get to love and all our things! There are no words for how excited I am to see her beautiful smile every day in person, so I’m not even going to try. She knows :)

We have not included Hugo! We’ve only written a small amount of scenes where cousins are present, actually, and their roles are minimal. Instead, we’ve written a bunch of our own original characters! We love them all so much, every single one of them is near and dear to my heart and they all have so much life, so we don’t tend to feel the need to include other existing characters. 

I do agree though, that he’s not seen often in other Next Gen fics, so hopefully more people will choose to include him! I feel like he could have a lot of potential. 

(Hi omg this was so sweet! Even though I haven’t been doing a whole lot of Drarry stuff recently, I like this prompt. This probably isn’t what you’re looking for, but it’s what popped in my head because I looove when Harry calls Draco this, so.)

Harry doesn’t like feeling vulnerable. He wants to like it, he likes the idea of being able to be vulnerable, of letting go and allowing someone to just take over his body and mind and everything, but he hasn’t found the right person. That is, until Draco sodding Malfoy comes strolling- no, swaggering- back into his life.

Then Harry’s being slammed against dark hallways in the Ministry, teeth tearing at his lips and hands closing around his throat as he ruts against those trousers that in Harry’s opinion are waytoofuckingtight to be work appropriate. He’s showing up to clubs that he knows Malfoy will be at, hoping and knowing that he’ll shove Harry to his knees in the back alley. He’s going home with Malfoy, allowing himself to be bent over whatever surface Malfoy deems sturdy enough to hold him as he fucks out noises that Harry thinks he should probably be embarrassed about. 

And every time- every time- Malfoy makes him beg. He makes him whimper that he wants it, that he wants to be handled roughly. Even when he fights back, that glint in Malfoy’s silver eyes tells him he knows Harry will break. That Harry wants to break. He makes Harry say please and, “Yes, Sir.”

It’s always that fucking “Yes, Sir,” that makes Harry flushed and fluttery and he wants to hate it. But you know what? Harry doesn’t really mind it one bit. 

This number grows and changes constantly because we write together almost every single day, but in the year and a half that we’ve been writing together, @themalfoymanner and I have written over 1.2 million words :) 

It seems kind of like an impossible number, but at the same time, it doesn’t surprise me at all because writing with her is as easy as breathing. 

Yes!! I’m so glad you noticed! I found Brenna Twohy’s performance poem around the first time I started reading fanfiction and it spoke to me so much! It makes me feel really passionate and defensive about smutty fanfiction :)

I did used to call her my “wife,” though! Little did I know, she would change my life in ways I couldn’t even have fathomed. She challenges me and inspires me and always knows exactly what I need to hear. She completes me in every possible way and is easily the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Every day I look at the boxes of my things in the garage and fill with giddy elation knowing I’ll soon be snuggled up next to her and her cats in an apartment we’ll get to call our own.
