brief tuesday blurb
no tuesdaypost this week I think. did very little last week besides Drive, A Lot (Portland airport -> Beaverton hotel -> next day back and forth to Hoyt Arboretum -> back to the airport again to get my mom hours later -> next day back and forth to downtown -> next day south for 4 hours -> ~20 min to and from the bed&breakfast we were staying at and the wedding venue -> 4 hours back north) and also officiate my cousin's wedding :-) I did get to do some cool stuff in Portland (aforementioned arboretum, the rare book room in Powell's was DOPE, the art museum was lackluster but fine) but overall it was not a vacation trip, it was a Tasks trip.
my cousin and his now-wife are very chill which is good but also stressed me out a little because I ended up reading the script off my phone (not ideal, for me, but they didn't care I guess) and also literal seconds before walking it out she went "wait, I sent you the updated script, right" and, gentle reader, she had not! it was fine, she allegedly hadn't made a ton of changes, but it was like ?? girl hello this is your wedding? love her though. definitely will have to go back and visit them in a less hectic trip.
