Echo from the Bad Batch 30 min doodle

I have decided that I will be rewriting the Bad Batch before the show comes out. Step one, Crosshair is albino confirmed, the rest of the batch get their melanin. Step two, make sure Crosshair doesn’t become a one dimensional villain with no personality. Let’s get the ball rolling

well. I’m doing it. “The Bad Batch but Nibs is in Control” because fuck you Disney. Here are my redesigns of Tech and Crosshair with a couple traits listed out for later reference. If you have any infantilization tendencies, leave them at the door, thank you.

Side note, Pip @quillandink-tmblr is also in control, and I’ve spent a good chunk of today scrounging up everything I can on the upcoming show. I’ll do the rest of the batch later because it’s 03 here. Also, the blacks designs aren’t originally from me! I can’t for the life of me remember who rolled with the design originally, i just remember seeing a post floating around a while back plus some designs off the internet. My version is kinda just simplified, I like it tho

next up we have Echo and Hunter. Y’all might’ve seen my Hunter design already since I drew him like, last week, but you get to see him in my new style now. Echo’s a bit less saturated because my dude’s malnourished but I gave him hair again because he deserves it. Also, his cybernetic in the show is ridiculously impractical, so I gave him a new one. The driver that was at the end of the original socket is stored in that hatch on his forearm instead. That’s right Disney, I’m in charge now. Fuck you.

I’ve got two left now. Just two more, folks.

And with that, we’ve got complete set! Wrecker is illegally hard to draw (modeled his pose off a picture of the rock since they have similar physique) and it took a bit to figure out what I was going to do with Omega, but hey, I got it done. I’m rolling with Omega being AMAB and the last of the modified clones, hence their name, they’re enby though so I will be using they/them when writing/generally talking about them. Also overhauled their in-show design since that’s a white child in the trailer, not a Fett clone, and I gave em a couple traits based on how I think they’d function with the batch. Wrecker didn’t need much redesigning appearance wise (I did exaggerate his scar a bit since it kinda just looks like it was slapped on his face in the show), but I gave him more of a personality than just “big tough guy brrrr”. I think it’s what he deserves.

Also, I’m so glad people are liking these redesigns?? Since I’ve got em all down now, I think I’m actually gonna start drafting the first arc for the rewrite. Should be a fun project to do right before school starts again, lmao. I’ll probably do a lineup with the redesigns in the future, so stay tuned for that
