The Five Core Precepts of the Classic Jedi Code

I. There is no emotion, there is peace

This principles guides all meditations and interactions with all others. It reaffirms the Jedi ideal to act without recklessness, and to view the actions of others through the pure lens of the Unifying Force.

II. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.

Those who don’t understand this basic precept are quick to fear––and fear is the path to the dark side. The Archives represent the greatest collection of knowledge in the galaxy.

III. There is no passion, there is serenity.

A subtle extrapolation of the first precept, this reminder to act dispassionately in every deliberation extends to personal obsessions and is a reminder not to elevate the self above the mission.

IV. There is no chaos, there is harmony.

Those who cannot see the threads uniting all life view existence as random and without purpose. The Jedi perceive the structure and will of the many galaxies.

V. There is no death, there is the Force.

All things die, but the Force lives on. As beings who exist as shades of the Force, the end of our existence in this form is not to be overly mourned. We are part of an energy larger than ourselves, and we play roles in a cosmic fabric that outstrip our incarnate understanding.

Smh, all the discourse about how Obi-Wan should have been more outwardly affectionate is making the assumption that Anakin’s love language is hugs or “I love you”-s and not modifying your droid without your permission. Enough of Anakin learning to interpret a hand on the shoulder and small acts of service, I want to see Obi-Wan figuring out how to interpret the upgrades Anakin made to his kettle.

Anakin retrofitting Obi-Wan’s droid to match his own is Anakin’s love language.  And that he hardwired it into the ship so Obi-Wan has to take it with him, is double Anakin’s love language.

DREAMS OF PEACE by emilykenobi

Obi-Wan placed a hand upon your shoulder. “You’ve come a long way.” His tone was genuine, warm; it filled you from head to toe.
The smiles continued, memories bouncing around your mind. Your slingshot had been your ticket off of Tatooine, where, unlike in your dreams, there’d been no one to hold your hand, no one to place their hand upon your shoulder, no one to look you in the eyes and count them as familiar.
Yes, I know you, Obi-Wan’s eyes seemed to say to you.
