Good news: That depends, really. How confused are you with elven genealogies? Trust me, it's about to get worse. Legolas is smiling because his little sister is about to gain a playmate. I decided his cousin Ardôr, son of Elranduil was too spoiled. And since his father mentioned he wouldn't mind a daughter after Isílriel was born, he gets to be more like Thranduil by adding his third child, Elwen. Now both Thranduil and Elranduil (whose mothers were sisters and very close) both have foster sons (Tarthôn and Orísil) biological sons (Legolas and Ardôr) and biological daughters (Isílriel and Elwen). It gets worse--Elenadar and Elenatar, twin sons of Fëaluin each have twin sons and they meet Elrond's twin sons Elrohir and Elladan in Book III @trenarnolegolaslasgalen But you won't see little Elwen until Book III: The Last Tale of Legolas Lasgalen (Extended version) because adding her now when she only slightly older than Isílriel would be impossible as Isílriel has reached pre-adolescence by the BOTFA in the current Book II:The Saga of Thranduil (Extended version). So she'll be in the paper version of that one. I would start keeping track because I have to attach this family tree to the one in Tolkien as Oropher is related to Amdir and Thranduil is related to Celeborn and how has already taken 3 months to work with since Book I will deal with Simarillion characters on top of a whole new group of elves. (So you may get to meet Galathil, brother of Celeborn and father of Nimloth who married Dior and had Elwing, mother of Elrond). You are about to drown in a sea of elves (and a few dwarves and men and maiar).😬 I hope you like elves. We've got more elves than Lindir can handle. Lots of baby elves, elven children, teen elves, twin elves and their twins sons, lots and lots and lots of elves. Boy, it's Elves R Us over here.
