Happy Belated Thranduil Thursday. Currently looking for the artist of this work. If you know, please tell us (yeah, I'm an ‘us’ now--blame it on The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy; it’s a brand).
Thranduil’s thoughts at the wedding of his best friend Melros to Árendil (future parents of Tarthôn, Thranduil’s foster son). He still hides his courtship of Êlúriel from his father, but not for long.
You realize you’ll have to tune to https://officialwptkwrt.wordpress.com every Saturday to know what’s going on (if you’re interested) because I’m working on the Tumblr @tkwrtrilogy3 and the First Age (and I really want to get to the part where Oropher becomes a grown elf already--the sooner that happens, the sooner Thranduil is born). 😁
And remember, it’s still here: @tkwrtrilogy & @tkwrtrilogy2.
King Oropher makes his feelings known about the possibility of war (the War in which he would one day lose his life). NOTE: What he knows about Doriath will be made known in Book I: The Epic of Eryn Galen @tkwrtrilogy3.
Time to prepare for the upcoming excerpt from Book I: The Epic of Eryn Galen. @tkwrtrilogy3, by the way. I finally subdued little Oropher; but his parents need to have a little chat. As for the “son” of Oropher--well, Thranduil is about to deal with more baby elves (which only a preview will be shown; you won’t get the full story until I begin Book III: The Last Tale of Legolas Lasgalen. Just when you thought Aranduil was a handful (or even Eärluin who likes to pick on her older twin siblings Nenduîl and Tárimë), in comes some more. Maybe I should give Legolas another pet. I mean, Lasimë is cute but I think he might need another critter beside a squirrel. I love his horse though--Lasiavas (Autumn Leaf). All of it (and more) coming soon.
The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy: 3-Volume History about the elves of the Woodland Realm (told by Orothôn, Oropher, Thranduil and Legolas)* with one Stand-Alone book: The Song of Seven Rivers about the family of Thranduil’s wife, Êlúriel @tkwrtsongofsevenrivers (coming soon).
*There is actually another book; stand-alone. You’ll have to wait a good while for that one. However, if you’ve been reading Book I and Book II, they talk about it a few times with Iarûr and his son Súriar. (who writes the Prologue of Book I--WIP).
It’s a really long book. It’s size scares a lot of publishing industry people; they think people wouldn’t read over 125,000 pages. 😛 That’s not true--some people have told me they read Book II in one day and it’s well over 500 pages. We shall see upon its next big release, won’t we?
Thranduil writes a poem for Êluriel. Naturally, she reads it out loud. After a little light teasing, Thranduil will blurt out six words he never thought he would: "I am in love with you." Lucky for him, she's in love with him, too.
Preparing to attack what rustled in the forest, Thranduil and his guards run into a creature far from ordinary--it would be a lovely elven maiden who would steal the heart of the young prince.
Thranduil leaves the comforts of his childhood home for the first time as he rides off to fight in the War of the Last Alliance. His backdrop: Mordor with the Ered Lithui (Ash Mountains) rising before them and beyond--Oroduin (Mount Doom).
Thranduil stands up to his father over his choice of Êlúriel to be his wife.
One More Moment in time for the Royal Wedding: Oropher speaks to Thranduil early in the morning on the day he will marry Êlúriel. It is very beautiful father and son moment.
More on Thranduil's childhood--One night, Thranduil, Elranduil and their friends sneak out to see what goes on with the "ancient elves", as Elranduil puts it so eloquently.
I found an entire part of Book II: The Saga of Thranduil that the world has never seen--lost for two years. It will not be in the next book release--it’s rather long but it is disgustingly heartwarming and sweet. I could have sworn it was in the original books but I guess not. You won’t find it in the next book release--it’s going to take a while to insert it into the story; however, some of it is PERFECT for Mother’s Day. I’ll share a few “motherly moments” but this one will be the first look into a part of Thranduil I briefly touched upon. I’m glad I found it actually--part of it will be in Book I: The Epic of Eryn Galen.
I just heard Ronan the Whatever--Accuser or something; yeah, he is back for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. A lot of resurrecting is going to be happening at Marvel I think.
Thranduil and Êlúriel spend their last moment together before the announcement of their engagement and preparation for their wedding. (They’ll sneak in a moment before the big day--they’re in love).
Queen Nimeithel speaks frankly with Thranduil about the love of his life, Êlúriel.
Personally, I think Thranduil has the greatest mother. 😚 I adore her.
At the tender age of 1440 years old (10) Thranduil kills his first orc--with a little help from his friends. The beginnings of the great warrior Elvenking.
After the first kiss, Thranduil and Êlúriel have a rather delightful conversation about kissing.
Happy Thranduil Thursday.
Thranduil (Isilya) Mondays in March: Thranduil's mother, Queen Nimeithel is attempting to get her beloved "Li'l Isilya" betrothed to someone. Thranduil goes through the motions but he knows who's with whom among his friends. Here, he releases Aryávë (one of Eryn Galen's most beautiful elleth--elf-maiden) to return to her beloved Elmîr.
