Well, after careful consideration, I have more work to do. The summer has yet to end and the sun to set on The Elvenking of the Woodland Realm--neither one of us. There are no accidents in this world. Everything happens for a reason. I was given a gift I cannot give back--for a third time. I’m not fool enough to not accept it.
I tried my hardest to dissuade those behind the writer’s service that The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy was not something they could do anything with--from the fact one book is done w/two versions all the way down to the legal issues agents and publisher would have with the Tolkien Estate. I told them about the readers, the followers--everything. I figured that would keep them busy in thought for a couple days--especially since tomorrow I announce the release date of the next version.
What did they say to me? What did this 20+ year old writers’ service say to me after all of the history of this book was laid bare before them?
“We look forward to your submission.”
So I guess you can say that Thranduil has done it again; from and idea to a very long (and still growing) complex story intertwined with Tolkien’s universe to being seen by people that can help bring Thranduil to the world in real book form. Looks like Book II: The Saga of Thranduil has the opportunity to become a book between two covers; and to find someone that will make sure the entire trilogy sees the light of day.
Could you just see it--Thranduil a real book on a shelf in a bookstore, library or sold by Amazon or Barnes & Noble? I don’t know what will happen, but it is finally has a real possibility.
Re-release of Book II: The Saga of Thranduil.
Yeah, for 24 hours on a day I choose. That took Twitter by surprise. I’m trying to get my father to notice. I miss my dad, but I won’t get to see him unless I make a ruckus and go wildly public. Just want my dad to know I’m working hard and I’m thinking about him. This time, I may add the (soon to be updated) Appendix of characters. You’re going to need it (and then some) to get through Book I and Book II right now. Book III will come soon enough, but I’m sure Book I is going to be longer than Book II (estimated). Having such a book that experts in Tolkien want to read i does not go unnoticed, I have learned. Thranduil has started to garner attention beyond the web–I was asked about it to day in a phone call and will be discussing it next week–twice. My family will never tell my father, so I have to find a way. And I will. Love is a powerful thing between a father and his daughter. I kept my promise and finished my first book I dedicated to him. Now I want him to know about it. ❤️

It almost Ring Day and Lee Pace’s Birthday: Serendipity
I would have been here sooner (as so much has happened dealing with the story) but I had to deal with a rumor that is the biggest lie in the history of lies on a place like Tumblr and also hate mail and notes on my pages. It is a shame people can hurt someone they never met or even had a conversation without any provocation of truth whatsoever. It hurt me–which was the point–but it did not defeat me. My love for my work outweighs the pettiness of others.
So horrible the near suicidal outcome of it all, I changed the dedication of the entire trilogy. It is now dedicated to J.R.R. Tolkien (not my idea but the thought of the Mythopoeic Society) This makes my story a very small part of the Tolkien universe. Still unofficial (no, the rumor that Christopher Tolkien has approved it is false–nicer rumor than I steal fan art to tell my story, which I NEVER have and whenever I speak of artists–those that don’t steal the work of the photographers on the set of the films and change them and say it theirs, but really talented artist that draw their own thing–I ALWAYS give credit.).
So what would have been a weekend of celebrating the completion of Book II has been extended after spending hours of harassment and feeling hurt by so called “friends” I thought were my friends but friends don’t believe rumors–they ask and they never did. I had to move on because Thranduil–my little story–has turned the corner every authors dream of in a world that near impossible to become a part legitimately–The Tolkien Universe.
I do have to give at least one of my muses a gift–Lee Pace. Especially his birthday is the official “Ring Day” of Middle Earth. The day Sam, Frodo and Gollum destroyed the One Ring at Mount Doom. Thranduil and Celeborn were able to bring down Dol Guldur and ironically, the delays actually made if possible for me to be right on that event on the day of Ring Day and Lee Pace’s birthday. Sometimes, not everything bad is bad–at least this time. But I’m very proud of Thranduil. He’s brought his kingdom beyond literary obscurity and into the spotlight mainstream media that has the strong possibility of doing things I never thought possible.–J.

The roads go ever on. And I am proud of that. Thranduil is unofficially part of the Tolkien universe--for now. Still have a ways to go, but the road has become a lot easier to see. I look forward to sharing this and other triumphs with readers, Tolkien fans and experts in the coming weeks. Thranduil once again is taking center stage at Mythcon (indirectly) for another year. I'm seldom an optimist, but I am getting a little better at it.
