I’m off to an appointment; will be back late afternoon. I will be seeing Avengers: Infinity War.

I’m rather happy right now. I just caught sight of something that makes me smile. I love it when I start a trend...it would seem everyone is posting “excerpts” of stuff. Remember our discussion, @fortunatelyclevercandy. Someone just did a “tkwrtrilogy”-esque excerpt. I’m not mad--looks good. I would have pinned it but I’m probably blocked.

Nothing but love for them. Hope they have all the luck in the world. I realize not everyone’s going to like me or has to. I will always R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Mom always said to me, “be nice to everyone because you never know when you might need them.” I live by one rule: 

“The ass you kick today could be the ass you kiss tomorrow.” 

So I try to live by that whole “do unto others thing”--Not JUST during “Holy Week”. If you live by the Word of God, EVERY WEEK is Holy Week, Miss Ingraham (she’s creepy). I just lost all anxiety in the world in that moment. 

Okay, I actually lost it when I got a handful guy followers on three websites in a week. Imagine that--one of them (I know) is another Tolkien buff--the more of them I get, the more likely this book might get put between two covers. I thought they liked my story because they thought I was a guy; it never occurred to me they might like it because they just liked it. 

I know exactly who’s getting autographed copies if that happens. I never forget anyone that puts up with me for longer than five minutes. I know where I come from and where I’m going and I don’t mind taking a few people with me.

You deserve Nobel Peace Prizes for lasting longer than my family--possibly sainthood. Today was truly a “Good Friday” for so many reasons.

I have already announced I’m not commenting on comments on one Facebook Groups (hard not to do I made friends and readers) and so on Monday, April 2, 2018 I’ll make another announcement: @tkwrtnewsfeed. 

This is going to make the totally related stand-alone book announcement a whole lot better. Time to do this, @fortunatelyclevercandy. I already have commissioned a THRANDUIL PORTRAIT from my sister--the one that is an artist and designer. She loves this thing so soon I may even have my own artist to bring Thranduil’s wife Êlúriel to life--and she (or any others I may use will get 100% full credit and any perks that come with this: and my sister’s work is good enough to be in a book). 

Yeah, something like this. I’ve watched her design clothes all my life; she’s this good. I have a production designer friend that would love her. I also have a designer friend in Paris whose son I grew up with. Guess what his name was? ELFIN. I’m serious--I had a childhood friend in the country named Elfin who had a pet half-dog/half-wolf. Oh, that is so Tolkien! He’s a lawyer now.

Don’t say a word; she doesn’t know yet. The production designer has got a filmography to die for. I can’t wait to see her Thranduil; I don't even know the medium but the fans asked and she said okay--she also thinks Lee Pace is a hunk. She’s good enough to get a hug from him if he saw it.

I chose the photo: and I’m not saying another word. But it is a fan favorite.

I’m blessed, but I know I owe every single moment of this journey to my readers (which is why Book III is dedicated to them and if I get published, the world will know who you are). I will always keep my promises. I kept my promise to my dad; I’m keeping my promise to Tolkien and I’ve never been happier to be alive. This is Thranduil’s Time to Shine.

PS--I’m being good, @fortunatelyclevercandy. I know that face you’re making right now. Stop it. I changed the photos didn’t I? I can’t really do that on the book pages--except maybe WordPress and Instagram (we need to discuss that one more after Easter because I have two IGs and I need to choose one). I think when I get my sister’s portrait, we might be leveling up; especially if she does Êlúriel for me. I know a few artists. Thranduil needs a contest to find the artist to be the face of TKWRT. I hope they don’t mind producers and published NYT Best-Sellers looking at them--one of them is friends with Barry Manilow.

Yep, that magical time of the year right before Quellë/Lasselanta (leaf-falling) in Mirkwood (and for all elves in middle earth)So, it’s important to have something for all the elves out there on the Yáviérë (Autumn Equinox). And it falls on Valanya (Valarsday/Friday)? Double the fun...

Legolas’ horse in Mirkwood is named Lasiavas (Autumn Leaf) just for the occasion.
