I know it has been a while, but if you only knew what I have to go through regularly, you would understand why it takes me so long to do anything. I will go into that on another day. It is special because today, the world gets the first look at Book II: The Saga of Thranduil--Extended Version.

If you are a member of the Facebook Group, then you can get it there. If you are not, you will have to go here. It will be available in both places from now until November 7, 2023. It would be appreciated if you would leave a comment on this thread about whether you liked it or not because I sent it out for beta readers for a reason.

I have been in talks with a lot of publishers on demand who want to publish this book. One of them overzealously wanted to turn the book into a Netflix series. (do not ask). I would rather film the story in order, which begins with @tkwrtrilogy3. At over 1200 pages (currently), the entire trilogy is long enough to have a television show (but I would want it to include @oflordsandkingstkwrtbook and @tkwrtsongofsevenrivers). I am aware of that. To be honest, I would like to be the one to write the script as I also know how to do that (from experience). But, because my stepsister (Roseann Grotjan) stuck me into a Britney Spears situation, I do not have access to my money or any way to negotiate the publication of any of my books (and I have several) on my own, so this is going take a while. I have millions of adoring fans willing to scare the BeJesus out of her in order to get their favorite book in print and onscreen.

But. someone leaked to me what a perspective book cover of The Saga of Thranduil would look like. I will post one of the mock-ups because seriously, who is going to notice? It is a mock-up, so it is not a final design. Also, I didn't choose it. It was chosen for me to persuade me to choose this particular company. There are at least seven or eight of these people trying to persuade me to publish this book. One of them has actually read the book, and it made them cry.

They want to sell it in hardcover and paperback. Wouldn't that be nice? My bestie (@fortunatelyclevercandy) wants me to wait. I will not tell you why because I know why, and I'm about to do what she asked me to do. I want literally no FREE PR around it.

Oh, that is a lot I know. But if it were not for my stepsister, the state of Missouri, and the crappy hellhole they put me in the middle of nowhere with shitty internet (on purpose), I would be farther along, and everybody probably would have several copies of this book series by now. The moral of my story is: do not trust your family after your father dies and leaves you some money. They might just get the idea in their head to take it from you to make $20/hour as your guardian by claiming that you're crazy when you just asked them about your own trust fund. But I digress.

Enjoy The Saga of Thranduil--Extended Version. You will be the ones who will decide which version of this story gets published. You will be the ones that will make it possible to see the Elvenking's life story in a book store, online, or even on Netflix.

One day, my life story will make a hell of a Hulu series. If you want this book in print you had better leave a comment.

FATHER’S DAY EXCLUSIVE: EXTENDED VERSION

First things First: I’m officially returning to work on June 26. That means frequent excerpts to come for “The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy”. After a brief hiatus, it is good to get back to work again.

Now it is Father’s Day once again. It is hard to believe my own father has been gone for almost two years now. I was lucky that he lived long enough to see the original version of The Saga of Thranduil. I remember on our last day together, I read some of it to him because they said though he was in a coma, he could still hear. After four hours with, I was about to leave when he seemed to wake up and turn to me and ask me as he always would, “Where are you going?” I said, “I’m going home.” He said ‘ok’ and that was his last words to the world. He would die two days later.

Now, book business. After we nearly destroyed WordPress the last time we had a download available, we have decided to have more than one place for people to go. Besides being available here, the PDF can be downloaded here as well:

Facebook: If you are a member of TKWRT Group, you can get it on the group page.

Happy Father’s Day!

We're back. Enjoy the book. 😏

THE SAGA OF THRANDUIL–EXTENDED VERSION

First of all, there are a few things about this 3rd Draft of the Extended Version. It is not complete (as it should have been). Why? Because this October, my old laptop died and though it did retrieve nearly all my work, it lost all my notes on The Extended Version. Note to you (and self): Apple Stickies don’t retrieve anything if you lose something. Use Post-It by 3M if you have a tablet (and I’m doing that now). This means you may actually get another look at The Extended Version and this is not the last time you get to read it with the additions.

Secondly, when you get to the Appendix, you’ll probably see the additions that got lost while my old laptop died during the Catalina Software Download (and the laptop wasn’t that old, I might add)–there are “new people” not in the story (yet). You can either ignore them or start rumors of their origins (though some are self-explanatory). Some characters will be in Book III: The Last Tale of Legolas Lasgalen (and that extended version) and/or in Book I: The Epic of Eryn Galen (currently on-going).

There is a scene that was about to be put into this book (while I was promoting The House of Durin) that is on Instagram right now about Thranduil dealing with his future “son-in-law” (future husband of his daughter Isílriel). It is located  to the right of a bright photo titled “End of Summer: LAIRË METTA”. I hope to post the scene the event takes place eventually (along with others) either there or in the complete version at a later date TBA.

Also, I just learned today, my new Spell-Check hasn’t learned Elvish. 🤨 Though, Erestor is blessedly not Crestor, some things in Elvish might look weird (and my laptop froze while I was working and I freaked out because I didn’t want the trauma of losing anything again), some things are still a weird mix of Apple’s inability to recognize another language (oh, Black Speech they know–makes you wonder), Sindarin and Quenya. That’ll be fixed in post. 🎞

Please Enjoy this version of the book (🥺) knowing eventually there will be way more than 567 pages (including the Appendix) and way more adventures (most being told again in the extended version of The Last Tale of Legolas Lasgalen).–Jaynaé Marie Miller, author.

It’s back. And not for the last time, either.

"I am Thranduil and I was born to rule"--how it all began 4 years ago this coming December. I look forward many, many more years with the Woodland Elves and the many tales left to tell in Middle-Earth. 🥰 The Saga of Thranduil. You'll want to read it more than once. If @staff @support flag faces, they will miss what has been called the most anticipated release of an unpublished Tolkien-based original story in modern literary history—or so I’m told. 😏

One of my readers/friends put ”The Saga of Thranduil--Extended Version” into book form. I've never seen it bound before. It looks like a real book. I never thought to bind it like a real book. It's amazing.

Some of the main characters from the War of the Last Alliance as told in Book II: The Saga of Thranduil. There are more Woodland characters, of course. Here includes the Dwarves of Khazâd-dûm (Moria). There were several sources used but the main one was The Unfinished Tales by J.R.R. Tolkien. The complete bibliography will be in the final version of the trilogy (so will the ever-growing Appendix of characters). In the end, you’ll know infinitely more than you do now. ☺️

🎉🎊 1001 Pages and counting...

In spite of idiots, Book II: The Saga of Thranduil just made it to 1001 pages (both versions, including the appendix), nearly two years after it began, this month (December 22 to be exact). It is quite possibly the first fan fiction book (with a beginning and an end) about the life of Tolkien’s Thranduil (based entirely on Middle Earth History and cues from Tolkien himself—Thrand is in more places than the Unfinished Tales and I discuss that in the Annotated Version of The Kingdom of the Woodland Realm Trilogy which is on going, so there’s more Thranduil even as I’m working on his ancestors, his father and Legolas.

This isn’t the end—not by a long shot. I have editing to do. Back to work. Just wanted to say that.

What is this “Thranduil Movie” I keep seeing? It’s driving me nuts. 🤨
