approximately zero effort went into this, i hope you can forgive.

* So this is sort of a PSA.

* To the person who sent me a link to a YouTube video and basically asked me to post it and tell people to spam it with hate;

* I provide content that makes people HAPPY, not HATEFUL.

* The video is private so I don’t know how it was, but it doesn’t even matter to me because, how could you even consider using my content and the followers I gained through it, to try promoting hate??

* There are many things I don’t like in fandoms, some things I hate, but I will NEVER hunt down people who enjoy these things and shame them for it, because I wasn’t raised in the god damned jungle.

* PS on a completely different note, because I just got one a few hours ago, sometimes I get questions that instantly bring such adorable imagery in my mind that I can’t help not to gasp softly. That’s the kinda content I’m here for.

It’s no mystery that I absolutely adore @zarla-s writing, and that she’s the only one who’s depressing Undertale AUs I can genuinely get interested in. I’ve drawn Handplates before, but I really wanted to give Zarla’s heart-breaking story of loss a, well… a “happy” ending? This is a story of loss and recovery. (The stylistic choices have been selected carefully, and are explained here: Acceptance - style and colour symbolism) Zarla has created this AU as a way to cope with loss, and an experience that I’ve gone through as well.  I hope this will speak to those who have also lost someone. (I feel like I don’t really have to specifically state this, but please be respectful.)

New liches; Fran and Ska

Fran and Ska are liches who lost the third member of their trio.

Having a full trio is a complete feeling of bliss, comfort an balance for a lich, however is that trio breaks due to one or two members dying, the surviving members grow depressed with the knowledge, they they will never be able to feel that comfort and that balance again.

The three members of a trio find themselves, because their energies resonate with each other on a very special level, and when they are together as a necromancer, possessor and telekinetic, they feel like one whole team in perfect balance - each of them has one third of a full energy source.

It happens very rarely that a lich would die, so there isn’t an overwhelming number of broken trios, but those that exist, even though they are ushered to see a specialized therapeutic clinic, tend to exclude themselves from the lich society and generally turn bitter towards others.

Fran and Ska are the remnants of Ska’s trio.

Ska was the eldest of the group, while Fran was the youngest. The accident of their necromancer’s death occurred on Earth and was largely caused by Fran. After being on Earth for a very long time, the liches’ energy hasn’t gotten the proper food to remain as strong as they were used to, and in a tragic situation, Fran had overestimated his power of telekinesis and ended up dropping something massive on his necromancer, as well as on himself. His wound was only a non-threatening gash in the skull, while the necromancer’s skull was shattered beyond repair, especially as they didn’t have another necromancer around to bind his energy.

Both Ska and Fran blame Fran for their necromancer’s death, and their relationship is anything but positive, even if they try to live every day like they have a healthy relationship.

They live as humans, possessing human bodies.

Fran has been extremely withdrawn and notably depressed ever since the tragedy. Being thrown out of the trio balance caused him to become very apathetic and without a will to state his opinions or stand up against anything he might not like.

Fran accepts his guilt entirely and it is unlikely that he would ever be able to get past this, as he will always feel the lack of balance till the end of times. He doesn’t use telekinesis anymore, or any other powers for that matter, save for possession, to live his human life and pretend like he gets any fulfilment from it.

Ska’s sudden lack of balance made him impatient and aggressive. He is still extremely protective of Fran and loves him as the only thing he has left, but doesn’t let him forget that it’s his fault that they are now broken forever. He’s extremely stern and has occasional meltdowns due to the loss and will continue to have them even centuries after it happened. 

Ska was a mentor but ditched the job when his triad died. He’s much older than the other two were, and hasn’t found his trio for the longest time, which is why losing this blessing he could only hold on to for a short time (for a lich) broke him more than he’d ever admit. He’s hurting, but tends to prefer expressing through anger rather than sadness.

These are the illustrations for an alphabet book project we did in college.

I can safely say that I have never in my life had such a good time working on such a massive project, and the result was well worth it. I am extremely proud of some of these illustrations, and have already exhibited them at a youth centre last month.

Looking at these makes me so intensely happy, as I remember how much I loved working on them, and how much I love the game they are based on.

So, this is something I’ve been wanting to draw ever since I picked up Undertale months ago. I am absolutely in love with the concept of an entirely ambiguous player character. Frisk is a character with no personality, no race, no gender, no age and, due to their chibi-style sprite, no truly designated body type either.

Frisk is a character anyone can project onto, if they wish to do so, which is why I wanted to draw up a few diverse interpretations of their character, as a fun character design practice. I kept it very basic to stay as truthful as possible to their game sprite, but naturally I changed some stuff up for the sake of design diversity (namely the clothing), and the skin colour for different races.

I was pondering different designs so much that I ended up completely forgetting to include my own ‘canon’ interpretation lmao. You’ll see them in the future.

This is really cool and I like it!! Maybe I should start using a different design for Frisk every time I draw them . . . That could be an interesting exercise!
