Whump dialogue prompts:

“Ok, I know you had to push through that, but now that it’s over, it’s time for you to rest. Come on, let’s get you home. You need to get some sleep.”

“Are you sure that you can handle that? You’ve barely been out of the hospital for 2 days, you need to take it easy.”

“Honestly, it’s really not surprising that you passed out. How exactly did you think staying up for that long would go?” “Ok, we really need to get you to an actual doctor. This looks infected, and that's more than I can handle here, you need actual, professional help.” “I know you hate accepting help, but you don't really have a choice at this point. You’re too weak to even stand, so letting us care for you is the only option you have.”

“Go take a nap, _________. You look like you haven't slept for a month.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Nobody is going to be mad at you if you take a break, you know. I know you want to get all your work done, but you’re at the point where it’ll be faster if you just take the time to sleep, then work more after you wake up.”

“You look like you just walked off the set of a horror movie, what happened?”

“Either you can cooperate or I can call someone for backup, but one way or another, you are going to get actual medical treatment, even if I have to drag you there myself.”

“You still feel a little warm, ________. Just take it easy for another day, please? For my peace of mind, if nothing else.”

“When was the last time you stopped to take care of yourself? You look horrible!”

“Alright, enough is enough. Let me help, it’s obvious you can't walk that far on your own.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“_______, please sit down, you’re shaking. Can you tell me what happened, or what I can do?”

“You look like you’re breathing kind of weird, are your ribs ok?”

“How many hours of sleep have you gotten this week? You look horrible. Come on, let’s get you to bed.” “Ok, you just sit here and try to catch your breath. I’m going to find you some water, and then we’ll figure out what to do from there, alright? I’ll be right back.”

“Please try to be more careful next time, the goal is to cut the vegetables, not your fingers.”

“I know it feels like I’m coddling you, but you really do need to take it easy. You’ve been through a lot in this past week, and now you need to let yourself be taken care of so you can recover.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“It’s alright if you’re not ready to talk about it yet. If you ever want to, I’ll be here.” “Just come here, ________. You've had a really rough few days, and you look like you could use a hug.” “It’s alright, cry as much as you need. I’ll be right here, I’m not going to leave you.”

“How did you manage to hurt yourself making toast? Even little kids can make toast!” “Sit down, ________, you look about two seconds away from passing out.”

“Ok, you just try to keep pressure on that while I run and get the first aid kit. I’ll only be a minute.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Why didn't you just tell me? We could have helped, you didn't have to be in so much pain.”

“You look exhausted, are the nightmares getting bad again?”

“This is going to hurt, so you just focus on taking deep breaths, ok? I’ll handle everything else, you just breathe.”

“What happened to resting?! You just got out of the hospital, go back to bed!”

“I need you to let me look at your injury. I know it hurts, but I can't help until I know how bad it is.”

“Are you sure that you’re ok? You’ve been breathing really shallowly, and you’re paler than normal.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Everything’s going to be ok, just breathe. Just breathe, _________, just breathe.”

“Oh, __________... Who did this to you?”

“You need water and rest, in that order. Come on, you can rest in just a few minutes, just drink a little bit first.”

“I know you probably don't want to, but you really should go to the hospital. This is too bad for me to be able to handle here, you need a professional.”

“I need you to stay awake, ok? Just stay awake until we can get you warmed up, it’s not safe for you to sleep yet.”

“Be honest with me, how much of that blood is yours? And don't say none, I know that’s not true.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Are your ribs ok? I saw you take a pretty bad hit earlier, and you’re moving really stiffly now.”

“Sit down, you won't be able to help anyone if you faint.”

“There’s no way you’re coming along, _______, you’re still running a fever.”

“If you don't go to your room and go to sleep in the next hour, I’m going to track you down and force you to get some actual rest.”

“That ankle looks really swollen, _________. Sit down so I can take a look at it.”

“Either you can go and rest voluntarily, or I can get our team’s leader to order you to, so it’ll be simpler for everyone if you just listen to me now.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Sit down, _______. I could see you swaying from across the room, and I don't think either of us want you to pass out.”

“Are you sure you shouldn't be in bed? I know you’re feeling a lot better than you did two days ago, but that doesn't mean you’re well enough to be up and about.”

“This really isn't looking good, ______. I’m starting to think you might have been poisoned.”

“Alright, enough is enough, you’re going to go to bed now. No, don't look at me like that, I should have sent you to bed hours ago. You’re exhausted, and you need to sleep to recover.” “You know, _______, when I saw the size of that puddle of blood you were laying in, I really thought I’d lost you.” “Sit back down! You know you’re not supposed to be walking yet! You need to give that leg time to heal properly, or you risk causing permanent damage.”

Avatar

Whump dialogue prompts:

“If you’re not feeling up to it, there’s no shame in saying so. We all want you to take care of yourself, so go and rest if you need to.” “I’m not letting you go anywhere, _________. You passed out from exhaustion less than an hour ago! You need to get some actual sleep, and I’m going to make sure you do, even if that means I end up having to sit on you.” “Alright, let me see that wound. With the week you’ve been having, it really seems like the world has it out for you.”

“Are you going to go back to bed on your own, or do I need to carry you? I’ll throw you over my shoulder if I have to. That might even be the best plan, honestly, because we both know you’re not supposed to be walking on that foot any time soon.”

“Ok, you need to sit down and let me take a look at you, I saw you hit your head a few minutes ago.” “Are you sure you’re alright? You’re really, really pale, maybe you should sit down.”

Avatar

Whump dialogue prompts:

“You should really sit down, ________, if even a small fraction of that blood is yours, otherwise you might pass out.”

“You know, I think you’d be in a lot less pain if you just stayed in bed and rested like the doctors told you to.” “Can you walk? If you can't, or don't want to, I’ll carry you.”

“Careful, take it slow. The last thing either of us wants is for you to aggravated one of your injuries.”

“You just rest, I’ll handle everything else. If you need anything, I can get it for you, so just let me know, ok? Even if you just want something, tell me, and I’ll do what I can.”

“Are you sure you’re alright? You took a pretty hard hit a minute ago, maybe you should let someone check you over.”

Avatar

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Alright, off to bed with you. Don't give me that look, there’s no way you’ve gotten more than four hours of sleep in the last two days, you need to rest.”

“It’s alright, ________, it’s ok. I’m here now, I’m not going to let anyone hurt you. Shhh, it’s ok. It’s ok.”

“Stop that, ________. You know you’re not allowed to use that arm yet, you need to give it enough time to heal properly.” “I think I’ve seen actual corpses that looked more alive than you do, what happened?!”

“I know it’s hard, but you have to stay in bed. You can get up in a few days, but if you try to get up now, you’ll just make your injuries worse, and you’ll end up having to stay in bed longer.”

“Take it slow, alright? You’re pretty beat up, so be careful.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Can you look at me for a moment, please? I know opening your eyes hurts, but I need to check for a concussion. It’ll only take a minute, ok?”

“I need to clean this, and I’m sorry, but it’s going to hurt. Try to take some deep breathes, it might help with the pain.”

“That looks really painful, ________, and walking is only going to make it worse. Why don't you just sit down, and I’ll go find some help, ok? I’ll be back soon.”

“It’s alright, _______, it’s okay. Did you really think I’d turn you away if you came to me for comfort? I care about you, _________, never hesitate to ask me for comfort if you need it.”

“Would you please just sit down for a minute!? You’ll pass out any minute if you don't, and I don't think either of us want that.”

“Do you need anything? You’re not allowed to get out of bed, so if you need something, just tell me.”

Avatar

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Alright, that’s enough. You’re going to go straight back to bed before you manage to tear your stitches.”

“If you need a hug, all you need to do is ask. Or don't even ask, just come over and hug me, and I’ll hug you back, ok? If you need comfort, tell me, and I’ll be there for you.”

“Did you really think we’d leave you alone to take care of yourself? And yes, we know you probably could, but we want to take care of you. Seeing you like that scared us, this is just as much for our comfort as for yours.”

“I’m sorry, but I need to clean this, and it’s going to hurt. Just take some deep breathes, I’ll work as quickly as I can.”

“Are you alright? Please tell me that all that blood isn't yours, beca-- _________? __________! Oh my goodness, somebody get help!”

“Alright, go sit back down, I think you just reopened like three different gashes with that stunt.”

Avatar

Whump dialogue prompts:

“Alright, you clearly need to get some rest, when was the last time you slept for more than an hour or two? I know things are hard right now, but you have to take care of yourself, or at least ask for help so someone else can take care of you.”

“Can you stand? I know you’re exhausted and in pain, but we can't stay here. If you can't, that’s alright, I’ll just carry you, but I thought you might appreciate the choice.”

“Look, I know you’re having nightmares, so you can stop lying to me. Is there anything I can do to help with them? You can always come to me after one if you need to, it’s not a burden.”

“Can you move your hands, please, ________? I need to look at your wound, and I can't do that until you move your hands. I’m not going to do anything painful yet, I just need to see how bad it is.”

“Are you feeling alright? You’ve been acting weird all day, and it looked like you almost passed out when you stood up a minute ago.”

“Alright, I’m sorry, but this is going to sting. It’s the last painful thing I’ll have to do though, ok? Just a few more minutes, and then you can rest.”

Whump dialogue prompts:

“You know, if you wanted water, you could have just asked, I’d have brought you some. Why did you think it was a good idea to try and get it yourself? You know you’re not up to that yet.” “I know it hurts, I know, shh. I’m sorry you have to go through this, but it’ll be over soon, just breathe.” “If you’re not up to something, you need to tell us. There’s no shame in it, but we can't help you if you don't tell us you need help.”

“Come on, _________, please stay with me, please. I’ve already lost so much today, I can't lost you too.”

“I swear, _________, if you move one inch out of bed today, I’m not going let you spend tomorrow morning on the couch . No, don't look at me like that, you just have to stay put and rest today, and then tomorrow you can start spending a little time out of bed.”

“No, stay down. You passed out, take it easy for a few minutes.”

When the whumpee hurts their ankle, but they hide it from their team, and they end up on a mission where they have to walk for hours. Them trying to hide it during the mission, but ending up limping more and more as time goes on. Their teammates noticing and asking them why they’re limping, and the whumpee trying to brush it off. The leader noticing, and calling for the team to take a few minutes break, then forcing the whumpee to let them looking over their ankle and leg themself. The leader instantly finding the swollen, bruised ankle, and asking the whumpee when this happened. The whumpee admitting that it happened before the mission started, and their leader telling them off for hiding it, pointing out that the whumpee is putting themself and everyone else in danger. The whumpee apologizing, nearly in tears at this point, and the leader hugging them, reassuring them that they’re not really mad, just worried, and that they want the whumpee to take better care of themself. The whumpee agreeing to tell them if they get hurt again, and their team doing their best to support the whumpee through the rest of the mission, helping them walk whenever they have to and making sure they don't have to any more than is strictly necessary.

“Alright, look at me, I need to see if you have a concussion.”

“Where were you, you were supposed to be back half an- Oh my goodness, is that blood?! What happened?! Sit down, let me see.”

“If you turn any paler, ______, you’ll start blending in with all the snow!”

“We need to get out of here fast, can you walk? If you can't, I’ll just throw you over my shoulder, I’m not kidding.”

“Come on, ________, we’re going home. No, don't try to argue, I wouldn't even have let you out of bed this morning if I’d known you were doing this bad, so we’re going home, and you’re going straight to bed.”
