A whumpee being halfway through recovery, and doing well enough to come across as healthy to someone who didn’t know that they were injured, deciding to do something strenuous with their teammates without telling them they were recovering from something. The whumpee eventually pushing too far during this, and their teammates having to look after them, and eventually getting the whumpee to explain that they were still recovering from something. The rest of the team immediately forcing the whumpee to take the proper time to recover, and swearing to themselves to keep an eye on the whumpee in future so nothing like this ever happens again.
When the whumpee finds the caretaker intimidating, so when they get hurt, they try to hide it from them. Them managing to hide it for a few hours, but getting caught when they end up bleeding through their bandages and onto their clothes in front of the caretaker. The caretaker noticing, and asking the whumpee why there’s blood on their clothes, and the whumpee trying to brush off their concern. The caretaker not believing the whumpee, and asking them to sit down and let them see what’s wrong. The whumpee hesitantly doing so, and the caretaker taking a minute to look at the wound, then grabbing a first aid kit and patching them up properly. The whumpee being surprised with how careful the caretaker is, and so when the caretaker gently asks why they didn't ask for help sooner, the whumpee admitting that they were intimidated. The caretaker being caught off guard by this, since they’ve never thought they seemed intimidating, and them reassuring the whumpee that it’s okay to come to them if they’re sick or hurt, and that they’d rather know so they can help. The whumpee tentatively agreeing to tell them in the future, and the caretaker making sure to keep a closer eye on them in the future, just incase they hide something again.
When the whumpee hurts their leg, but they don't want to worry their teammates or deal with proper medical care, so they decide not to say anything. The whumpee trying to hide the fact that they’re limping from their teammates, but getting caught after only a few hours, and their teammates making them tell them what happened. The whumpee admitting that they got hurt and didn't say anything, and their teammates asking why. The whumpee admitting that they didn't want to worry them, and their teammates pointing out that they’re going to worry more if the whumpee hides this kind of thing. The whumpee begrudgingly admitting that that makes sense, and their teammates making them get medical care.
When the whumpee gets hurt on a mission, but they just joined their team, and they’re not really sure who they’re supposed to tell, so they just decide to say nothing and deal with it on their own. The whumpee patching themself up, and not doing a terrible job, then trying to go about their life as normal. Their teammates not suspecting anything until they notice the whumpee wince and curl around their side after moving carelessly, and them asking the whumpee what’s wrong. The whumpee admitting that they’d gotten hurt on the mission a couple days before, but them saying that they’d dealt with it on their own. Their teammate’s being surprised and upset that the whumpee hadn't asked for help, and them making the whumpee sit down so they can look their injuries over. The whumpee letting them, and their teammates admitting that the whumpee did a good job patching themself up. Their teammates still forcing them to get proper medical attention, and telling them if they get hurt again, they can tell any of their teammates, and they’ll make sure they get taken care of.
When the whumpee told the caretaker that they’re fine, but the caretaker suspects that they’re lying, because they’ve been moving stiffly and carefully for the past few days. The caretaker keeping a close eye on them, and catching a glimpse of colorful, ugly bruises when the whumpee’s shirt rides up when they grab something from a high shelf. The caretaker finding a quiet moment to confront them about it, and the whumpee admitting that they bruised their ribs, but they don't think anything’s actually broken. The caretaker making sure they get their ribs properly checked, and scolding them for hiding it, even though the whumpee ended up being right about it just being bruising.
When the whumpee breaks several ribs at the end of a mission, but they try to hide it from their teammates. Them succeeding in hiding it until they get back to their base, and they move slightly wrong. The whumpee not being able to hide their hiss of pain, and immediately being swarmed by their concerned teammates. The whumpee trying to deny anything being wrong and claiming that they’re just a little bit sore, but their teammates not believing them, and forcing them to sit down. Them continuing to question the whumpee until they admit that they probably broke some ribs, and then examining the whumpee’s ribcage. The whumpee ending up on bedrest for a couple days, and getting scolded by all their teammates, because none of them are ok with the whumpee hiding injuries.
When the whumpee saves their injured teammates and hurts themself in the process, but they decide to ignore it until they’ve gotten all their teammates to medical attention, because some of their teammates are in worse shape than them. The whumpee getting medical attention as soon as all their teammates have been taken care of, but their injuries having gotten worse because they waited so long. Their teammates finding out about this hours later, and feeling guilty for not noticing, even though the whumpee was trying to hide it. Their teammates sitting down with the whumpee once they’ve all recovered enough, and having a conversation about not hiding injuries, even if others are hurt worse, and the whumpee trying to argue, until one of their teammates points out that the whumpee would hate it if any of their teammates hid an injury just because the whumpee was hurt worse.
When the whumpee decides to try to stitch up their wounds themself, but halfway through, the pain becomes too much, and they just end up sitting there and crying, unable to finish patching themself up. The caretaker finding them a few minutes later, and making the whumpee let them care for them properly. The whumpee being too tired and in too much pain to protest, and letting the caretaker finish patching them up without argument. The caretaker then making the whumpee go to bed, knowing that they’d need to talk about asking for help with this kind of thing, but also knowing that the whumpee is too tired to have the conversation before they’ve slept.
When the whumpee hides a wound and it becomes infected, but they still try to deal with it on their own. The whumpee managing to mostly hide that they’re not ok, until their teammates accidentally bumps the hidden wound, and they nearly pass out from pain. Their teammate trying to figure out why the whumpee reacted so badly to being bumped, and finding the infected wound. The teammate then forcing the whumpee to get proper medical treatment, and telling the rest of the team what happened, so the team leader can have a talk with whumpee about getting proper medical attention and not hiding things from their teammates.
When the whumpee’s old team used to yell at them for being a burden whenever they got hurt, so they try not to let any of their new teammates know about their injuries. Their teammates suspecting that something is wrong for awhile, but not actually finding out what’s going on until the whumpee gets badly hurt and tries to hide it and deal with it alone. Their teammates confronting them about it, and the whumpee instantly breaking down crying and apologizing, promising that they’re trying not to be a burden, and that they’ll do better in the future. Their teammates being horrified, but putting that aside so they can patch the whumpee up properly and get them to bed. Them all meeting back up after the whumpee is asleep, and trying to make sense of the whumpee’s response to their concern. The team eventually deciding to talk to the whumpee about it after they wake up, and then taking turns sitting with the whumpee while they sleep, because seeing them makes the worry a little bit more bearable.
When the whumpee aggravates an old injury, but they try not to let their teammates find out, because they think they can just push through it. The whumpee managing to hide it for a few hours, but eventually moving wrong in front of a teammate, who notices them hissing in pain. Their teammate questioning them about it, and the whumpee admitting that they aggravated something. The teammate making sure the whumpee goes and rests, and then informing the rest of the team so they can keep an eye on the whumpee as well.
When the whumpee is hurt, but they ignore it because they don't think it’s that bad. Them going around thinking that they’re fine, until they move too fast and nearly pass out. The caretaker steadying them and asking what’s wrong, and the whumpee saying that they don't know, and then reaching down to poke at their injuries. Them feeling something wet, and seeing blood on their hand when they look at it. The caretaker freaking out, and forcing them to sit down so they can look at the injury. Them finding something far more serious than the whumpee realized, and them making the whumpee get proper medical treatment immediately, already planning a lecture about getting even minor injuries properly treated, incase they’re worse than you realize.
When the whumpee is recovering from their wounds, and they convince their teammates that they’ve healed far more than they actually have. Their teammates allowing them to do things they really shouldn't be doing until they've healed more, and the whumpee ending up aggravating their wounds in front of a teammate. The teammate rushing to them as soon as they see the whumpee clutch at the wounds and hiss in pain, and them helping the whumpee sit down as they scold them for pretending to be fine. Them making the whumpee let them check the wounds and then forcing them to get them checked over properly. Them then making the whumpee rest while they tell the rest of the team what happened, and the rest of the team scolding the whumpee too. The whumpee’s teammates making sure to get actual proof in the future when the whumpee claims to have recovered, because they don't want anything like this happening again.
When the whumpee hurts their ankle, but they hide it from their team, and they end up on a mission where they have to walk for hours. Them trying to hide it during the mission, but ending up limping more and more as time goes on. Their teammates noticing and asking them why they’re limping, and the whumpee trying to brush it off. The leader noticing, and calling for the team to take a few minutes break, then forcing the whumpee to let them looking over their ankle and leg themself. The leader instantly finding the swollen, bruised ankle, and asking the whumpee when this happened. The whumpee admitting that it happened before the mission started, and their leader telling them off for hiding it, pointing out that the whumpee is putting themself and everyone else in danger. The whumpee apologizing, nearly in tears at this point, and the leader hugging them, reassuring them that they’re not really mad, just worried, and that they want the whumpee to take better care of themself. The whumpee agreeing to tell them if they get hurt again, and their team doing their best to support the whumpee through the rest of the mission, helping them walk whenever they have to and making sure they don't have to any more than is strictly necessary.
When the whumpee is badly hurt, but others are as well, and they try to pretend their injuries aren't that bad so the others will get treated first. Their teammates believing them at first, but quickly realizing that the whumpee isn't being honest, and forcing them to get treated as soon as possible. The whumpee trying to protest, but giving up as soon as they realize that their teammates aren't fooled. The whumpee getting treated, and being told that if they had waited much longer for treatment, things would have gone a lot worse. Their teammates all scolding them when they hear this, and making the whumpee promise to be honest about the severity of their injuries in the future, because their teammates couldn't bare to lose them over something easily avoidable.
When the whumpee is badly injured, and they mess up because of it, causing their team’s mission to fail. Their team getting mad, until they realize that the whumpee is hurt and in pain, and them immediately forgiving the whumpee and rushing them to get treated. The whumpee still feeling bad the mission, but their teammates reassuring them that it’s alright, and all they need to do is worry about healing.
When the whumpee arrives back home after a mission, and they don't say anything about their injuries. Their teammates thinking they’re fine, not noticing that the whumpee is a little paler than normal. The whumpee making their way to their room quickly, and trying to treat their injuries as well as possible without anybody else knowing about them. Them managing to hide them until the next day, when they bleed through their bandages, and one of their teammates notices the bloodstain on their shirt. That teammate taking them to get their injuries properly treated, and alerting the rest of their team to the whumpee’s condition. The rest of the team rushing to the whumpee, and hovering over them, even after the whumpee is released to go rest at home. The team waiting until the whumpee is settled in bed, and then questioning them about why they hid their injuries and didn't get them properly treated, and then making them promise not to do it again.
