When the whumpee falls asleep somewhere random, and the caretaker finds them there and tries to carry them to bed, only to end up accidentally waking up the whumpee instead. The whumpee trying to get the caretaker to put them down, insisting that they’re fine and they don't need to sleep, and the caretaker ignoring them, having seen the bags under their eyes. The caretaker putting them in bed and not letting the whumpee get up, threatening to sit on them if they try to go anywhere, and the whumpee glaring at them, but being too tired to do more than that. The whumpee falling asleep again within a few minutes, and the caretaker staying and watching them until they’re sure the whumpee is really asleep and not faking it, and then leaving to make sure there would be a good meal waiting for the whumpee when they wake up.

When the caretaker brings the whumpee home from the hospital, and the whumpee expects to be left alone to take care of themself, but they find their entire team already there, ready to take care of them. Their teammates guiding them to the couch, covering them in a soft blanket, and bringing them food. Their teammates turning on the TV and sitting with the whumpee, and one of them letting the whumpee drift off on their shoulder as another rescues the food the whumpee is holding before it falls out of their grasp. Most of their team leaving after they fall asleep, having already set up shifts so that there’s always someone there to take care of the whumpee until they’ve fully recovered, and the remaining team members sitting there, content to let the whumpee sleep.

When the whumpee is dealing with the anniversary of something bad, and they’re upset and don't really have the energy to do anything. The caretaker knowing that it’s that anniversary, making sure to bring the whumpee food, and coaxing them through taking care of themself. The caretaker settling them on the couch as soon as they’ve eaten, and turning on the TV, then sitting with them for hours, just holding them. They whumpee dozing off in the caretaker’s arms sometime during the afternoon, and the caretaker just letting them sleep there until dinner, then waking them up to eat before getting them to bed. A few days later, the whumpee thanking the caretaker for taking care of them, and making sure they didn't have to deal with that on their own. 

When the whumpee is having a terrible day because it’s the anniversary of something horrible, and the caretaker knowing, and trying to do little things for the whumpee to make it easier. The caretaker bringing them tea and food when they shut themself in their room, and making it clear to the whumpee that they were there for them, even if they didn't want to talk about it. The whumpee wandering out of their room in the late afternoon wrapped in a blanket, and finding the caretaker sitting on the couch reading a book. Them curling up against the caretaker’s side, and the caretaker wrapping an arm around them without looking up, letting the whumpee seek out comfort without pressuring them in any way, and letting them stay there for hours, gently stroking the whumpee’s back until they doze off, their head resting on the caretaker’s shoulder.

When the caretaker sits watching over the badly hurt whumpee for more than 24 hours, making sure they’re alright until the rest of their team can get there, even though it means neglecting themself. The rest of their team arriving to find the exhausted caretaker still sitting by the whumpee’s bedside, barely even able to keep their eyes open. The team quickly realizing that the caretaker’s been taking care of the whumpee the whole time and ignoring their own needs, and one of the team taking over the caretaker’s place by the whumpee while the rest of the team coaxes the caretaker through a quick meal. Them then getting the caretaker to change into some pajamas, and guiding the practically asleep on their feet caretaker to bed. The caretaker falling fully asleep the second their head hit the pillow, and their teammates gently tucking them in before going to check on the whumpee sleeping in the next room. 

When the whumpee has been so busy they haven't been getting anywhere near enough sleep, and they finally finish the last thing they need to do before getting changed and going to bed, but even thinking about walking to their room is overwhelming. The caretaker noticing, and gently but firmly guiding them through getting changed into pajamas, then steering them over to their bed. The whumpee practically collapsing into it and falling asleep the second their head hits the pillow, and the caretaker carefully covering them in blankets, then turning off the lights and grabbing a cup of water to leave on the nightstand. The caretaker already starting planning what to make the whumpee for breakfast when they wake up, because they know the whumpee probably hadn't been eating enough, considering how busy they’d been.

When the whumpee is too weak to feed themself, so the caretaker has to help them, even though the whumpee is really embarrassed about needing help. The whumpee insisting that the caretaker lets them feed themself anyway, and the caretaker letting them try. The whumpee attempting to eat, only to find that the caretaker was right, and having to let the caretaker feed them, even though they have a hard time accepting the help.
