empty chairs at empty tables // tomorrow there’ll be more of us
Friendly reminder that Javert didn’t remember Jean Valjean by his voice or his face or anything, but by his enormous sexy muscles that haunted his dreams for at least 20 years.
“damn mr mayor……..youre like fiftysomething but youre so ripped…..built like a brick shithouse…….my god……..ive only ever seen muscles like that once befoWAIT A FUCKING SECOND”

Hello I’m auditioning for the entire cast of Les Mis and I’ll be singing “Mmm Whatcha Say”
I want a revolution.
I’ll call the Les Mis fandom.
I want a successful revolution.
imagine if instead of singing ‘friends’ in empty chairs at empty tables marius just sang ‘bros’

I dreamed a dream in time gone by, when grades were high and fucks worth giving. I dreamed no test would make me cry, I dreamed that curves would be forgiving. Then I was young and unprepared, and A’s were made and used and wasted. There were no extensions to be begged, no nights unslept, no effort wasted. But the finals come at last, with their laughter soft as thunder, as they tear your grades apart, as they turn your dream to shame.
to whomever wrote this
not to brag but i feel like ive exponentially improved this movie
do you hear the people sing?
singing the song of angry men
it is the music of a people
who will not be slaves again
will you give all you can give?
so that our banner may advance?
some will fall
and some will live
will you stand up and take your chance?
will you join in our crusade?
who will be strong
and stand with me?
beyond the barricade
is there a world you long to see?
then join in the fight
that will give you the right to be free!

Totally intrigued by Dallas Theater Center’s summer production of Les Miserables directed by Liesl Tommy. The story is reset in modern day with an awesome racebent cast.
IT WAS WHAT I HOPED IT WOULD BE

Ah cool, Stratford in Ontario does a similar thing with Shakespeare sometimes too! Like Civil Rights era Taming of the Shrew and 1950’s Central African MacBeth.
