Merlin is a damsel in distress. His future knight ~~in shining tunic~~ comes to rescue him. They duck behind a fallen tree and look into each others' eyes and Merlin is amazed by how brave Lancelot is and Lancelot is amazed at how beautiful and cute Merlin is and the rest is history.
