LOOK AT ALL THE EMOTIONS
I literally didnt recognize her

see i think the problem in twilight is not that kristen stewart is a bad actor

bella swan is just an awful character

^^ HERE HERE.

My friend and I have a conspiracy theory, which is that KS read the books, realised Bella has no emotions and is an utterly flat, unobtervant and dull character…and acted her perfectly canonically.

Also, yes, she looks so different here. It’s amazing.

I think that’s actually a fact. well, that and a good, healthy dose of ‘no one hates twilight as much as the cast’

Huh. WOW.

In the books Bella doesn’t show emotion on her face, which is why Edward can’t even guess at what she’s thinking/feeling. Kristen played the role perfectly as Bella was described.

Why are her eyes brown then blue then back to brown?

Kristen Stewart: smiling is not an obligation, professional or otherwise

”She stands out on the red carpet because she does not smile broadly or pose; she usually looks slightly uncomfortable. Of her red-carpet experience,Stewart said: People say that I’m miserable all the time. It’s not that I’m miserable, it’s just that somebody’s yelling at me…I literally, sometimes, have to keep myself from crying…It’s a physical reaction to the energy that’s thrown at you.”

“Stewart is often a target of a specific kind of body policing: the “smile, baby” requirement. When she appears on the red carpet and does not assure us with her teeth that she is simply thrilled to be reduced to a presence, a dress, a posture, she is often the target of harassment for her expression. There is an expectation of women in general and famous woman in particular to always assure the onlooker that they are happy to be looked upon through smiling, and Stewart rejects this.”

“Women are expected to be nice and sweet, to make other people feel comfortable. A woman who says ‘hey, I think there’s a problem here’ is being ‘negative.’ A woman who doesn’t smile while she’s being harassed is ‘humourless.’ A woman who prefers to stay focused on tasks is a ‘cold bitch.’ Significant gendering is involved here; women have an obligation to look and act a certain way and when they don’t, they need to be hassled until they do.”

she has to stop herself from crying?

like i didn't understand that people were legitimately yelling at her so i didn't get why she just wasn't smiling, but i never cared or expected her to be smiling.

i'd never really thought "jeez what's her problem?" or given any thought to it but this makes sense. since i don't know what it's like out there on the red carpet or how overwhelming it must be. it sucks that she feels that way though and people give her shit for it

I felt so bad [for Kristen]. I just wanted to pick her up, put her in my arms and carry her onto the stage. Or maybe not: I probably would have dropped her and opened her wound again! I felt like [meeting her] was a long time coming. I feel like we’ve been meant to meet. This was the perfect way. And you know what? She is so nice—really, really nice.

Daniel Radcliffe on Kristen (x)
