Hazel and Gus in Amsterdam on the last day of the #tfios movie shoot. Don’t have words for how I’m feeling now, but thanks SO MUCH for caring about this story and responding to it so generously.
Many nerdfighters have asked for some historical and political context to help understand the crisis in Ukraine. I gave a go at an introduction in this video. For actual news, I’m following the BBC’s Ukraine Crisis hub.
EDIT: Of course I messed up east and west. Of course. Because I always do. Is there a real disease wherein people literally cannot imagine directions or maps? If so, I have it.
Puppies, Pegasi, and TFiOS Casting: It’s Question Tuesday
In which John answers real questions from real nerdfighters about puppies, ferrets, dancing, the casting of the movie adaptation of The Fault in Our Stars, the ducks in the pond, and many other things.

john green everybody.
that’s john green.
guys let's make him find this ENTIRE POST
Oh what a perfect picture for me to describe my love towards John Green’s writing style.
1st: We all know that John grabbed the third text message from the way that we here on Tumblr talk. All in caps and ending with a remarkable “WHAT IS THIS” without proper punctuation etc. Which is something he didn’t absolutely have to do. But he put it in there because he knows a lot of teenagers type like that. So, blue ribbon for knowing your audience.
2nd: The overall message of the text. Augustus is refusing to accept that this is the end of the book. He is losing his shit. As we all would, if we read a spectacular novel that just ended in the middle of
3rd: The last text message is my favourite part of the entire text collaboration. Why? Because it starts off with Augustus answering his own questions- writing in the angst-filled teen CAPSLOCK (CRUEL.) and then putting in “Call me when you can. Hope all’s okay.” because after Augustus doesn’t hear from Hazel for a while, he starts to get worried. He starts to think, ‘Maybe something happened. Maybe she had to be rushed to the hospital. Maybe she’s dying, etc.’ Because when your friend (and love) is suffering from constant terminal cancer, that will always be an afterthought. And Augustus sends that message, that message with the touch more of urgency in it, to say ‘Please tell me you’re alright. I know what happened in the book, now I’m worried about you.’
It’s a freaking text message. It’s a cluster of little texts and John Green manages to make me feel so hard over it. I DON’T EVEN OWN A PHONE AND THESE TEXTS MAKE MY DAY BECAUSE I KNOW THAT IF I DID, THIS WOULD BE THE WAY I TEXTED. John’s characters are so infinitely human which makes them easier to read, to relate with, to love, and to understand. I think John, you may be the only person who understands what it is like to be a teenager, and isn’t one. So thanks.
I can’t wait until John Green finds this.
I wonder how many reblogs it takes before John Green notices your post.
Lets experiment!
It’s like “how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop” Except now it’s “how many reblogs does it take to get to John Green”
That’s exactly what I was going for. So far, still no John Green.
It’s a tagging issue, I think…
I think he vanity tag-scrolls…
why hasn't it worked yet
Johnnnn?
