His love for raven was sisterly. He couldn't bare the thought that she was doubting herself. Just like charles. He loved her, but it was mostly familiarity. She and charles were so similar, with their moves and little movements, and their speaking. They grew up side by side, and erik saw charles in ravens all the time. Raven was also a mutant, and we know how he thought he was alone. So now there is suddenly two mutants and he connected to them so much more then to anyone else before, because he finally felt like he was belonged somewhere.
His love for raven was simple.
