“No matter where I go, you're there. You're always in my head. You're in everything I see. No matter where I go, I can still see you there, can smell your scent. I can't forgive you. I can't forgive myself. But I want to. I miss you."
My headcanon:
After Zack left, Kunsel introduced himself to Aerith and would randomly drop in to check on her. He’d stop by whenever the Turks weren’t hovering.
They’d talk, mostly about Zack. He’d offered to help her around the church or to walk her home sometimes. When they declared Zack KIA Kunsel didn’t know how to bring it up. He didn’t want to be the one to tell her. He tried several times but each time he’d start to get the words out she would cut him off as if she knew what he was about to say.
When Aerith’s wagon broke Kunsel offered to fix it repeatedly but she refused. Years passed and she still insisted Zack would be coming back to fix it for her even though deep down she knew he was dead.
It became awkward between them so Kunsel stopped visiting but he still checked in on her from time to time without her knowing.
“A story that took place one morning...”
“I think the heart is similar to these strings. When the pain is too much to bear and you can’t breathe, it hurts, like the strings laid across your chest are about to snap. It’s just like when you keep strumming and picking at the strings at their very limit, and sometimes they snap. Sometimes you feel like they can’t ever be replaced. But if there were someone to replace your strings for you, like this… I feel like your wounds may heal just a little.” —Uenoyama Ritsuka | Given
“The story of a certain winter.”
“The story of a certain summer.”
We’re really gonna have to watch Zack break them out of the tanks after seeing Hojo experimenting on him aren’t we
Aerith tries to ask about Zack indirectly in a random side conversation and my heart breaks
On today’s episode of “What’s This Bitch Cryin’ About” I’ll be discussing how during Zack’s last stand he thinks about Angeal, Cloud, and Aerith.
I’ll also be discussing the way Zack gasps before he’s shot in the head and how his last thought is of Aerith.
FFVII Crisis Core | An email from Zack’s fan club
“It’s where a hero’s journey once began.”
Proof Zack was a momma’s boy and the email she sent his fan club not knowing he was already dead.
(Not only did Cloud lose out on four years of his adolescence but his life will also be cut short if Shinra doesn't kill him first.)
