Heartbreaking news out of north Gaza today

We write to inform you that renowned journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul and cameraman Ramy El-Rifi of Al-Jazeera were murdered just a few hours ago by the occupation. They were going out to document the scene of another bombing attack, when they were deliberately targeted by the occupation. Footage provided by journalist Osama Al-Ashi in the immediate aftermath of the attack shows that Ismail and Ramy were murdered with targeted precision weaponry, meaning the occupation watched them, waited for them, and executed them in cold blood (warning: graphic footage).

Ismail and Ramy have been documenting the genocide at immense personal cost since the 7th of October 2023. They were previously kidnapped and tortured by the occupation, but survived and continued to remain in north Gaza and document crimes against humanity. They have had many narrow escapes, and today, the occupation was finally successful in its illegal goal of assassinating these prominent journalists.

When western journalists hand-wave their suppression of the IOF’s atrocities in Gaza by claiming no journalists are “allowed” in to report, remember these men. Remind them of these men. These men who lost friends and loved ones, who suffered immensely, and yet chose to remain and continue documenting the genocide against their people. They join the ranks of more than 150 Gazan journalists who were murdered by the occupation to hide its crimes and retaliate for speaking the truth.

Journalist Wadea Abu Alsaoud documents materiel left behind by the occupation. He shows a crate of explosive cartridges, and points out the markings that show the bombs as products of the USA. The camera then pans around the area in which he’s standing, where rubble towers above him on every side, a house has been completely destroyed, and every building in sight is severely damaged.

How people can still deny a genocide is beyond me

A group of journalists held a public appeal yesterday for an end to Israel’s siege of the northern Gaza Strip, where practically no food aid has entered since October 2023. People in the north are living and dying in famine due to the complete blockade by the IOF.

To make matters worse, most mainstream media outlets are ignoring the plight of north Gaza, as the journalists and other people remaining in the north are predominantly Arabic-speaking. The north of Gaza is starving in silence.

Instagram user faridaek has been kind enough to repost the appeal with English subtitles added. This is a significant undertaking that we greatly appreciate, and we ask everyone with an Instagram account to share the video.

The journalist speaking is Islam Bader. He and his colleagues are making this appeal on behalf of the people of northern Gaza. The journalists present include Abed Alqadr Sabbah, Mahmoud Al-Awadia, Momin Abu Owda, Mahmoud Sabbah, Mahmoud El-Shareef, Anas Al-Sharif, Islam Bader, Mohammed Ahmed, and Fadi Al-Whidi, among others. I just want to add, what could a child seriously do to the heavily armed soldiers in the West bank?? They're just doing this to fulfill sick and twisted fantasies and horrors.

Some questions in the notes:

There are merchants in Rafah who still have a stockpile of items from before the war that they are selling to the refugees. There are also merchants who are getting items by unofficial means from Egypt that they are selling, which is what these donations will be going towards.

Good Question! I myself am not the person who owns the paypal but rather it is someone in Gaza in Rafah. I asked him if he could send pictures or receipts and he said yes, but it might not happen immediately since they just started the campaign. As soon as he gets stuff though, I'll make sure to post receipts both on this blog and another one that I have yet to make and will update if I make it.

Sorry, I'm afraid I can't give you too much information about the person himself (who owns the paypal) for safety concerns, but what I can tell you is he owns a large portion of land in Rafah and donated that land to host refugees there as well as his own home.

Zionist occupation terrorists are kidnapping Palestinian children who are blonde, claiming they could be zionist settler children. They have done this often enough for it to be a documented problem by EuroMed. Maha Hussaini, a Ghazzawi researcher, is scared of her daughter being kidnapped because she is blonde as the terrorists encroach on the territory her home is in. January 8th 2024. Palestinians are now worrying about having to dye their children's hair black so the invading zionist terrorists won't kidnap them.

She hasn't posted any evidence of this, all of the evidence is one tweet, there are no news reports about this, there are no other tweets from any journalists in Gaza about this (yes! I looked!) I'm not saying she's lying because she has indeed probably heard rumors about this and because Israel does indeed illegally detain Palestinian children (war crime) but this one, the specific of Israelis steal blonde children because they want precious white kids is the most obvious blood libel outside of accusations of cannibalism, there is no evidence for it and like...you don't have to do this please think a little, little bit more critically

all colonial states i can think of have a history of kidnapping indigenous people to raise away from their cultures. all australians should be familiar with The Stolen Generation, where the occupational white entity would kidnap indigenous babies and children to "raise white".

we also do have some evidence to suggest that at least one child has been taken (a friend, and a brother, of an IDF captain have given similar testimony that he had taken a baby from Gaza).

considering that this is consistent with what we've seen from other colonist entities, and the fact that Maha Hussaini is a journalist inside Palestine, i trust her.

Maha from gaza is a renouned journalist who has been meticulously documenting the past 3 months of living through the Gaza genocide. She worked with euromedmonitor, a reputable NGO who has also been documenting the past 3 months. Someone from gaza has no shortage of stories to report on from death, disease, starvation, and rape, so why would she make up a story? Unless you are calling Maha, an actual journalist, antisemitic for reporting the news that she experiences?
