C h a p t e r 1
1.
"Mommy! Mommy! Tell me that story again!" Jungkook jumped and jumped in excitement. His eyes are full of childhood innocence and enthusiasm. Jungkook is a 6-year-old lad who lives with his mother, Yong-sun, who is ill. His father works 24/7 to buy medicine for his mother because that's the only thing they can afford. No matter how much they need to go to the hospital, she just stayed at home so that her husband wouldn't exhaust himself from working.
"What story?" His mother asked, messing with Jungkook's fluffy wavy hair. Her mother couldn't stop smiling.
"The story of the Kitsune princess!" Jungkook exclaimed with excitement.
"Alright, alright, calm down, darling," Yong-sun said, guiding the little lad to sit by her side. Jungkook sat beside his mother, cross-legged.
"This is the story of the Kitsune princess..."

Once upon a time, there lived the crown princess of the Inari. Her name was Shizuku, meaning 'relaxing sky'. She grew up with 2 brothers who are twins, but in which they were never found after the Emperor sent them out of the household. This was because of their rebellion against the dynasty. In that time, Shizuku was desperate to see her brothers again, so she rebelled against her family with anger. She broke the rules little by little, but she gets away with it, as she is the crown princess. Then, she broke the golden rule, not to go to the human world.
At night, she swiftly shapeshifted into human and sneaked out of the Imperial House, with her subordinate covering for her. She then found herself walking into a small village in Hyogo. It was nighttime, the cold as freezing as ice, the wind as slow and swift as the cats at night. She strode through the sleeping streets, with her hakama gliding through the concrete ground. She then saw a Cherry Blossom tree, blossoming in the moon's light. She runs towards it and danced with glee under it.
She had a lot of these in the Imperial House, but this one feels different. The peach-coloured flowers gay her in delight, as the moon shone like a spotlight for her. As she didn't notice, a guy stood far away.
He looked at her suspiciously, for she wore a hakama.
"Hey."
Shizuku stopped, she looked at where the voice came from. She flushed in embarrassment.
"Um-hi?"
"Why are you here this late at night?"
"Um..." She couldn't say a word, she can't tell him what really happened or he'll find her crazy.
The guy then walked closer to her, keeping a meter away from where she's standing. He looked at the flowers and help one in his hand. He smiled, she blushed more.
"I remember when I was young, I danced under the tree," He then glanced at her. "Like you did earlier."
"U-um-about that-"
"Don't worry, everyone will want to dance under this tree," He smiled at her.
"What's your name?"
"Um...Shizuku. Ito Shizuku."
"Seiji. Tanaka Seiji."
"That name..."
"Hm?"
"Does that mean 'lawful and just'?"
"I don't know..."
"Well, that what it means," She then stood closer to him.
Seiji then took his hand out for a handshake, Shizuku followed.
"It's nice to meet you, Shizuku-san."
"You too, Seiji-san."
But little did Seiji know, Shizuku found his name...familiar.

Yong-sun smiled, to see her son asleep on her lap. She gently caressed his hair, being joyful that this angel existed in her life. She placed a small kiss on his head and covered him with a blanket. She laid down beside and bid him goodnight.
The moon watched over the two sleeping humans, tears are starting to fall from her eyes.
2.
Morning came, birds singing their endless tune, animals staring to do their morning routines. The sun blinded the eyes of Jimin, who woke up early in the morning to play with Jihyo, an adopted fox that Grandmama took custody of. Jimin looked at the sky, covering his eyes a little because of the sun. Jihyo was sitting beside on Jimin, playing with a sunflower.
"Jimin! Jimin!" She called.
"Yes, Jihyo?"
"Look," she pointed at the butterfly that was sitting on the sunflower she's holding.
"How pretty..."
The butterfly then flew away from the flower, it then rested on Taehyung's nose.
"What's this?" He interrogated, still fuzzy in sleep.
"Good Morning, Tae-Tae," Jihyo greeted.
"Mornin'. What time is it?"
"7 am, my darling twin," Jimin replied with a sweet smile on his face.
"I'm going back to sleep," he said, walking back into the small house.
"NO!" Jihyo then stood up from her seat then grabbed Taehyung. "You're not going anywhere..."
"I'm still sleepy, Jihyo."
"No."
A small chuckle then escaped Jimin's lips.
"Jihyo-"
"It's already morning. Waking up late are for lazy foxes. You won't have the energy to run and do things..."
"No-"
"NO! Follow me!"
"But I'm older-"
"I'm still more powerful than you," Jihyo smugged.
"Jeez, yes, God Jihyo..."
Jimin started to laugh quietly. Things never change, huh, he thought.
Then, someone called from the kitchen.
"Now stop fighting you two and come here for breakfast. Jimin, can you set up the table In the garden?"
"Yes, Grandmama," Jimin then stood up from log he's sitting on and went to the garden to begin preparing.
"Haiiiiii!" Jihyo and Taehyung answered loudly.
"Now, follow your god," Jihyo then pulled Taehyung towards the garden.
"You can let me go..."
"All right," When Jihyo let go of Taehyung, he ran as fast as he can to his room. Unfortunately, Jihyo watched him immediately.
"Got ya..."
Jihyo smirked. She dragged him forcefully to the garden.
"Ow!"
Grandmama smiled.
"Oh, my daughter, looked at how your twins grew,"
She then went back to preparing the food.
3.
"Thank you for the food!"
They all said in unison, while Taehyung said it to Jihyo. He got a smack in the head.
"Hey!"
Jihyo ignored him and ate her food.
"Brat,"
"Lazy fox," Jihyo replied softly.
"What?!-"
"Stop fighting and just eat," Jimin sternly butted in.
"Yes," Taehyung replied. Then, from the corner of his eye, he saw Jihyo smirking.
"This brat..."
Their breakfast was still as tasty as ever. And the secret ingredient, the laughs and stories between the family.
Chapter 1 is done! I'm sorry if I took a while...
But anyway, I'm going on a fast hiatus right now, both not updating that much for the Hanahaki and the Two Worlds Series. Why? Tests.
We just had or the first day of school last week and we're now having our tests immediately. It's insane.
But, I would like to self-advertise like a saleswoman here, but please check out my Quotev account. I just like it there than Wattpad because you can make quizzes. And people there find the stories faster than here. I just posted the prologue and it already had 8 reads but here on Wattpad, no one has read it yet. How sad. But, I still have faith that this story will be read and enjoyed by many, I hope so.
But I'm really sorry if this is short and all...but I already have the plot and structure of the story. It just might take a while because I still have to search some words from the million words the English vocabulary has to find a good structure to express this story.

And yes, some notes:
-Jihyo is two years younger than Jimin and Taehyung. Those are facts. Jimin and Taehyung are born on October 13 and December 30 1995, Jihyo is born on February 1, 1997 (real-life)
-Ito Shizuku and Tanaka Seiji are Incarnations. You'll know more in the next few chapters.
-Yong-sun is Solar's (Mamamoo) real name. In this fanfiction, she will be Jungkook's mother.
-The twins are more than a hundred years old, same as Jihyo. Jungkook is 6 years old, as said earlier.
-Jungkook's father won't have that mush storytime here. He'll be anonymous.
-The gif above is from the Ghibli movie Whisper of the Heart, their appearance will be Ito Shizuku and Tanaka Seiji. The names of those characters are Tsukishima Shizuku (Girl) and Amasawa Seiji (boy). Ito and Tanaka will be original characters based on the movie characters.
-All questions and confusions in this story you have will be discussed more further in the next chapters, also the prologue.
-Spoiler and note: Yong-sun and Jungkook will be half-Japanese, half-Korean.
-Kitsune (is a type of Yokai that) can shapeshift.
-Ito Shizuku is born from a dynasty. She is the Crown Princess of the Ito Dynasty. The twins (her brothers) were disposed from their positions as the crown princes.
-Facts: Shizuku's mother is the Emperess, her father is the Emperor. The emperor is the son of the Empress Dowager, Shizuku's grandmother. The Grand Empress Dowager is Shizuku's Great-grandmother, the mother of the Empress Dowager. A crown princess could be the spouse of the crown prince or the heir to the throne, or the first-in-line to be the heir of the throne.

-Shizuku's kanji should be 雫, but it's meaning is literally droplet. Changed it into 穏空, meaning relaxing sky. Seiji's kanji 聖司 should mean sacred and precise over, but we'll use the meaning lawful and just for this fanfic.

1.
"Oi, Jimin!"
Jimin looked behind him, his dark ginger-tinted locks stirring in the wind. His eyes were sparkling hazelnut and his nine-tailed tinted auburn. The young fox faced the one who called him, a small smile curling up his lips.
"My darling twin. What's wrong?"
"I'm hungry," Taehyung whined, pouting and putting his hand in his stomach. "Where's mom?"
"I don't know, I've been looking for her everywhere..." He whispered, staring at the crystal waterfalls. The sudden calmness of it makes Jimin lose his worries and relax, that's the power of this waterfall. Its name is the Oshinkoshin Waterfall or in Japanese, Oshinkoshin-no-taki [オシンコシンの滝].
"It's funny on how we share this waterfall with other human beings," Taehyung glanced at the waterfall, his eyes sparkling from its crystalline beauty. "It's quite unfortunate that we don't get to communicate with them or anything."
"The waterfall?"
"Humans, stupid!"
"We're not allowed...remember what happened to the late princess?"
"Yeah...she fell in love with a human being. I want to too..."
"You want to die? We saw the late princess being killed in front of our eyes. We were children back then!"
"But It makes me wonder," Taehyung murmured, bending down and staring at the small lilac flower. "Why aren't we allowed?"
He then looked at his twin brother, who was still looking for at the waterfall.
"No one knows."
Jimin then sighed, sitting down beside Taehyung, who was holding the flower with amusement in his hands.
"Do you also know the reason why?"
"Why we're not allowed?"
"No..," Jimin then stared at the sky.
"You know, you stare at a lot of things."
"It's a habit."
"Okay.., "Taehyung then went back into playing with the small flower.
"Answer my question.."
"You haven't even answered mine!"
"What's yours?" Jimin then looked at his brother.
"Umm, is it about the relationship with human beings?"
"No, not that..."
"Then what?"
"Why are we called wicked foxes? Evil in any way possible..."
"Where did you get that information? I didn't know that..."
"I was hiding there," He pointed the small bush right beside the large enchanted tree. "Then I heard human beings talking about us."
"What'd they say?"
"They said that there's a myth that Kitsunes like us live here and steal the lives of humans who trespass our enchanted waterfall. Or curse them. One even said that we can shapeshift as humans like them then act like them to steal and curse them."
"We can really shapeshift...right?"
"Yes, we can turn into humans like them or other animals, but now it's forbidden because of what happened with the late princess."
"Aww...too bad."
"I know."
The silence then fell on them, only the water splashing is allowed to speak. The wind rustled the leaves, making other dead leaves come with it. The sky was clear cerulean, with cotton-like clouds walking in the sky. The sun shone through the clouds, shining sweet light to the land. Jimin then lied on the grass and closed his eyes, the sunlight reflecting on his snow-white skin. His nine tails became a pillow to his head and a small scarf protecting his from the cold of early autumn. His favourite season is coming, and he is very excited about it.
"Oh, by the way," Taehyung queried, covering Jimin's face from the sun. "Why were you looking for Mother?"
"Oh? She left the house hours ago. She should be back by this hour, she said..."
"WHAT?!" Taehyung exclaimed in Jimin's face. He shoved his twin away.
"Don't scream at me..."
"Sorry, my darling twin."
"..."
"..."
A sudden silence fell on them again.
Then, something from out of the bush ran towards them. It's Nayeon, a fellow Kitsune friend of theirs. Nayeon is the same age as them, but she became the older sister of the two.
"Nayeon?" Jimin interrogated. "What's wrong?"
"Your mom..." she struggled to release the words from her mouth as she was panting. She held on Jimin's sleeve. "Your mom..."
"What happened to our mom?" Taehyung helped Nayeon up.
"R-run.."
"What?"
"RUN NOW! THE GUARDS ARE LOOKING FOR YOU TWO! GO!"
"Nayeo-"
"Leave me! Get all your things and go!"
Nayeon pushed Taehyung and Jimin away, she collapsing to the ground because of exhaustion.
She looked at the two confused brothers.
"Now! They'll kill you!"
"I need to save mo-"
"If you go," Nayeon cut Jimin from speaking. "You'll die. NOW GO!"
Taehyung and Jimin ran as fast as they can, leaving Nayeon alone.
2.
Taehyung and Jimin packed their things and left the house immediately. They shapeshift in their fox form because that's the only thing they're allowed to shapeshift into. They ran across the forest, not leaving any trace of their smell and footprints.
"Now, where are we going, my darling twin?" Taehyung asked whilst running beside his brother.
"there's a forest in Tokyo. Grandmama lives there with Jihyo. We'll go there."
"Jihyo?"
"You forgot her? She's the one Grandmama adopted years ago."
"Oh, right. Yeah..."
And the twins run towards Tokyo to their Grandmama. that will surely give them safety.
3.
"Where are the twins?" the Imperial chief asked the subordinate while holding a dead woman in this hands.
"I don't know sir-"
"FIND THEM NOW!" The Imperial Chief Enraged with anger. "I WANT TO KNOW WHERE THEY ARE AND WHERE THEY'RE GOING! BRING THEM TO ME ALIVE!"
He then threw the dead body in the waterfall, tinting half of the water with blood.
"Yes, sir," the subordinate then bowed down, ordered his men and went out to find the twins.
"I'll find you soon," the chief whispered. "Your life will pay for your sins."
The prologue is done! I didn't actually expect this myself to go into this type of situation...😅😅😅 silly me. But anyway, I hope you enjoyed this prologue and it gave you more interest in reading this series of mine. I got to rate this mature for how I think the story will turn out with a lot of killing and violence, I guess...😅😅😅
But just a little reminder, I may not post that more often, both the Two Worlds and Hanahaki Series because there are upcoming tests that I have to study and 2 more projects left to finish. I'm also going to change my glasses in the meantime and I can't see with my glasses so this might take a while. But, I hope you put this story in your list for updates.
