Weirdly enough, 2017 was a pretty good year for me. I went through several anime and made gifs for almost everything I watched (Kimi no Na wa, Kuzu no Honkai, Yuri!!! on Ice, Bungou Stray Dogs, and Touken Ranbu). Of course we can’t forget Kuroko no Basket, interestingly I made some nice sets from it as well. I’ll go through these backwards from Dec 2017 to Jan 2017, they’re not in any particular order otherwise since I just went through my own edits tag...

1.  It’s been a while since we fought side by side.

The moment I saw this in the episode I was like DAMN BLESS YOU UFOTABLE. Ufotable really did Mikazuki justice here. I had to gif it even if 15 other people had already done it. And surprisingly it came out sorta clean? I’ve never been able to clean Ufotable anime properly, it’s a pain in the ass.

2. “Past Past Past Life” - RADWIMPS || Kimi no Na wa (2016)

I think I spammed this song about 200 times since I first heard it. I love making edits that correspond to a single song so I wanted to do one for Zenzenzense - I had one done for Yumetourou too but I wasn’t too happy with that one. That one had a blue colour scheme so I went with pink for this one. Fun fact: I made this set using the 720p version.

3. —To Fly

To be honest I’d never heard this song until after I giffed it. I saw this being done with Yuri!!! on Ice and Haikyuu!! characters, and asked the OP if I could do the same with Kuroko no Basket and link back to their post as inspiration. I really like how it came out - though the biggest trouble was figuring out which character to use for each line.

4. I am a remnant, going through the darkness.

I absolutely love doing colour-spotting edits. I had a whole series I called bsdcolours where I did different colour-spotting sets and I love all of them, but this Akutagawa one started it all. It got way more notes than I expected too, since at the time BSD wasn’t a huge fandom.

5. Strength means nothing without beauty.

Yes there’s actually a Yuri!!! on Ice set I’m proud of. I think it was my first time going with a pale colour palette, and I was really worried about “whitewashing” characters since I’d seen discourse about it already. Anyway I like how the colours turned out, despite how last minute it was.
