Woosan Destined Hearts Fest

Way back in June or July, I submitted a prompt to this Woosan Destined Hearts fic fest. I have never participated in anything like this. Luckily, my prompt was chosen by an amazing writer (Wsncluntess) and they crafted this gorgeous fic for me. Below is the fic and original prompt I submitted.

“Why would this happen?”

How no longer matters. It likely wouldn’t make sense, anyway, even if someone did explain. How is pointless. It’s happened, and he’s stuck in this world, this timeline, and there’s nothing he can do about it. San wants to know Why.

As the sun begins to set, the sky explodes into a watercolor painting with the contrast turned all the way up. Vermilion bleeds into magenta and at least three different shades of orange. The clouds burst, shadowed against the colors with sharp edges. San has never seen anything like it.

“I can only think of one reason,” he says quietly, throat sore and voice raw. His lips are dry as he blows out a heavy breath. “What if it’s a second chance?”

A single conversation can change everything. Turning left instead of right can change the course of your entire life. And forgetting a simple bag of walnuts for homemade cookies can be the reason you lose your love forever.

San and Wooyoung had a gorgeous relationship. Friends would say that no love compared to theirs. It was a simple mistake, a complete slip of the mind. After coming home from the store on Christmas Eve, Wooyoung realized that they forgot the bag of chopped walnuts for Wooyoung's famous chocolate chip and walnut cookies. So he goes back out to pick them up but San never sees him alive again.

Wooyoung is found in his car at the bottom of a lake (a freak accident). San dies shortly after of heartbreak only to be reincarnated but retains the memories of his prior life. (Basically San wakes up in his new life and he's like in his mid-late 20s and his close friends are Mingi and Hongjoong but they haven't met Wooyoung yet). Now, all he has to do is find Wooyoung. Easy right?

But what do you do when the love of your life, the man you would do anything for, has no idea who you are but you are stuck with the memories of who you two were? San promised to find Wooyoung in every lifetime. Their previous life ended in tragedy, maybe this life will be better if not perfect.

San and Wooyoung only meet in their dreams and forget everything when they wake up. Their friends have all met their soulmates, will they ever find each other?

Just to Clarify

Hi there, just wanted to clarify something. I am not the A03 writer Hwas_Feather_Duster. We just happen to have similar names. I don't write anything ( except my random thoughts on here). I recently found out about this author and just wanted to clarify. I have never claimed to be them. The only thing I do A03 wise is post some of my fave fics in the library tab of my Tumblr page so others can read good stuff. I am just an Atiny who likes to rant and gush about Woosan.

Okay listen, I can believe that the hoodies are different like Wooyoung said because one has a string in it and the other doesn’t. But combined with the fact that everything lowkey looks oversized on Wooyoung…these bitches are sharing clothes.

Or they just love twinning it up even though they have two completely different styles.

San's Dancing in Django

I could never explain San's dancing until I saw them perform Django. The big dance sequence at the end truly shows how clean San's dancing is compared to the others. (I am not attacking anyone. They are all amazing dancers).

San's dancing is drastically different than everyone else's. His moves are so sharp that by itself or with only one other person next to him, his dancing can seem overwhelming. And I think I finally understand why.

San does not cut his movements. He will show you every single move from start to finish. The others (minus Yunho) cut their moves to get to the next one, almost like they are in a rush. This is completely normal. I think most performers do this which is why when you first see San dancing, you're taken aback. He's very focused on the technical aspect of dancing in my opinion while everyone else is more focused on the flow.

For Yunho, you can see in the video that he is the only one keeping up with San when it comes to defining their moves. Yunho will show you every movement but will flow into the next one. Not really a cut but more of a clean transition. Yunho has a level of swag that the others don't have that creates this flow.

With the others, the choreography sometimes gets lost. You can't really comprehend what they are doing (the moves they are executing) and by the time that you do, they are already onto the next move. I am not saying that this happens all the time but in this performance you can clearly see it. San on the other hand is consistent throughout every performance and dances extremely hard. This is just San's style of dancing. Everyone has a different style.

Sometimes I wonder what it was like for Yeosang to get a best friend and then proceed to watch that best friend meet and fall stupid in love with their soulmate.
