This is the first song in a HOT minute that there has been decent distribution for Ateez. When I say hot minute I mean I can't name another.

Yeosang and Wooyoung got more lines in this song than they have in previous albums.

Yeosang - I think his voice was put perfectly on the chorus. It fits his register and he sounded really good. I do think that he could have also been good at the very beginning (Yunho's part) but I am not going to get greedy.

Wooyoung - WOOYOUNG CENTER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's the love of my life right there. He got a decent amount of lines. A chorus and 2 solo parts. We love to see it and he was amazing.

I will never stop my Wooyoung/Yeosang line distribution fight until they are given equal to everyone else. But I do think they were utilized very well in this song and performance.

If I had to pick whose song I think this is (like how Dune is no doubt Yeosang's). I would have to say Yeosang. I feel like he really shined in this song and performance. We love Yeosang.

Whoever did the distribution did a good job this time.

Jongho's Singing

The fanfic I wanted to read didn't get updated today so now I am going to rant.

Let's talk about Jongho's voice. I'm gonna be real with you guys for a minute. This man has pipes. He has a strong voice and it is clear that he is a ballad singer. This performance is all the proof you need to see that he is a ballad singer.

The thing about Ateez songs is that they truly aren't catered to Ateez. Unless the boys make the song themselves, their songs are not catered to their voices. Now do their songs sound amazing? ABSOLUTELY. But there are certain members who are abused in my opinion.

The first being Yeosang. The man is a baritone. He has a certain range and yet they give the deepest parts to Yunho or Seonghwa and leave Yeosang with maybe one line that is not in his range 90% of the time. Making his live performances sound off during certain songs. Not because he can't sing but because he is singing out of his range.

Wooyoung, mans has an angelic voice. Use it. Correct me if I am wrong but Wooyoung does a lot of backup vocals for the group. I just wish they used his voice more in the front because his voice is beautiful.

(Apparently the producers "dont know how to work with" Woosang's voices). That's bullshit.

Jongho...heres my thing. He has a strong voice but Ateez does not make a lot of ballads. So when they need a high note, they just give it to Jongho cause he can hit it. But sometimes, I won't lie, his notes come out a little strained, in my opinion, during performances. Not all the time. I don't think that it is because he can't hit the note but because the song isn't right for him, so it sounds off.

Songs like Wonderland, Deja Vu, and Arriba give Jongho that ballad ability. The build he needs to get to the high note instead of songs like Bouncy or Work (These are two songs where his high notes sometimes sound strained).

I don't know where this rant is going but I just feel like the man is a ballad singer and whoever is producing their music is not truly taking that into consideration. Wooyoung and Yeosang, they have completely thrown out the window. For Jongho, it's like they know his range and what sounds good but constantly try to push the boundaries. And also, they give Jongho ALL the high stuff and after a while, like during a concert, it can become hard to go from songs back to back, just hitting high/hard notes when half of your singing skills include more calmer notes before you get to those higher notes. They dont really give Jongho a build up in most songs. they give it to someone else and then just expect Jongho to hit the high notes.

I dont know, I'm annoyed with life right now so I wanted to rant.

I love Jongho and I think he is amazing.

This post is not attacking anyone. I am a Moa. I just wanted to say that as an Atiny, I know Ateez wouldn't make changes to the song. They would just sing it how it is. Which we love.

Hi there, just wanted to clarify something. I am not the A03 writer Hwas_Feather_Duster. We just happen to have similar names. I don't write anything ( except my random thoughts on here).
