happy new year to all who dwell here! I could have sworn I did a roundup of my best-of-2021 reads, but apparently not.

I read 167 books in 2022, and below are featured my 30ish or so favorites. most of them are in some or multiple ways speculative and/or queer, so I’ve tried to delineate them into smaller and more specific groupings from there. please note that while I read all of them for the first time in 2022, they are far from all being 2022 releases.

hi / bye

hello i was off tumblr for 41ish days which is the longest ive been off this site since i created my blog in december 2010 and it felt very good, tumblr was my #1 most useless time-waster and although i think there are genuinely wonderful things to be seen and read on here i am more interested in spending my time elsewhere

i am not deleting (my blog has always served and will continue to serve as an oxymoronic compendium of miscellany for self-reference~~~) but i almost certainly will not be living here anymore!

i am available elsewhere on the internet; if you’d like to stay in touch (regardless of whether we talked frequently or communicated only through the silent companionship of likes and reblogs!!! i really mean this, i promise!!!) please feel free to add me there!! drop me a line so i know who you are and can connect yr tumblr identity to yr wherever-else identity!

kiss kiss best wishes yours &c.,

The All-Star Game should just be made of volunteers, most of which I guarantee will be fourth and third liners, which means the bottom players who we always ignore will finally get a chance to step out of the shadows of their star players and show off who they really are when it comes down to it. Will it be messy? Yes. Will there probably be a bunch of hilarity to it because half of them don’t know what to do if they aren’t fighting or supporting their star players??? Yes. It may also spurr them onto changing their game up.
