I just saw your meta (from 2018 haha we recycle posts here) about Greed being the dedicated chimera keeper of the homonculi and 1) absolutely love that, incorporating it into my belief system, and 2) fits really well with a silly little HC I had that's like-
post canon, Greed is alive and well and being a minor nuisance in Xing. Al is also there, and also being a minor nuisance by slowly accumulating stray cats in the palace. Greed is a lil bummed that none of the cats will let him pet them :(
Until Al finds this, like- incredibly stupid orange tomcat. It's so dumb. it has a mangled ear and it is missing part of its tail, presumably bc it is too stupid to dodge. It is also incredibly affectionate, as stupid cats often are.
Anyway Al plonks that cat down in Greed's lap and the cat immediately starts purring up a storm and making cookies, and this is the story of how Greed was immobilized for several hours and missed a very important council meeting w Ling bc he was Otherwise Occupied.
oh my gosh what a lovely little HC! also i'm so glad you specified it was an orange cat cause yeah those really are the dumbest and friendliest creatures on the planet that totally would hang out around something that puts out Death Vibes haha
