fayre themselves doesn't play any instruments but they can whistle real good, and since they also communicate telepathically they can pull off some funny junk like perfectly mimicking the sound of a phone's text alert like in that one vine
in terms of leitmotifs i feel like the peter and the wolf leitmotif is pretty fitting, though baby elephant walk is also fun. for battle themes idk maybe the theme that weird undead elk has in elden ring? it doesn't quite fit fayre that much but I liked the vibe of that boss fight lol - for songs I associate with them I really like the song Free Spirit! (very moomin-core)

I had this stupid idea today and it’s making me laugh so I have to share.
So you know those Mom Coupons kids make (one free hug/I’ll clean my room, that sort of thing)?
Imagine post-canon Greedling making something like that for Lan Fan’s birthday, but with things like “No sneaking out for 48 hours” or “Will attend every scheduled meeting for a full day, no exceptions.” It was meant to be a joke, but she got fed up one day and used one, and they took it weirdly seriously? She never fully relaxes, but she is able to at least get a decent night’s rest from time to time.

I just saw your meta (from 2018 haha we recycle posts here) about Greed being the dedicated chimera keeper of the homonculi and 1) absolutely love that, incorporating it into my belief system, and 2) fits really well with a silly little HC I had that's like-
post canon, Greed is alive and well and being a minor nuisance in Xing. Al is also there, and also being a minor nuisance by slowly accumulating stray cats in the palace. Greed is a lil bummed that none of the cats will let him pet them :(
Until Al finds this, like- incredibly stupid orange tomcat. It's so dumb. it has a mangled ear and it is missing part of its tail, presumably bc it is too stupid to dodge. It is also incredibly affectionate, as stupid cats often are.
Anyway Al plonks that cat down in Greed's lap and the cat immediately starts purring up a storm and making cookies, and this is the story of how Greed was immobilized for several hours and missed a very important council meeting w Ling bc he was Otherwise Occupied.

Love your Immortals AU. So Greed and Paninya are in the know that everyone's not human. And Ed, Al, and Winry all know about each other. And considering how casually Greed mentioned it, I'm guessing everyone knows about Ling. But who all is aware of everyone else's species?
So at least in the early parts of this AU here's how things stand in terms of most to least knowledge:
Paninya: friends with Winry/both know what the other is prior to meeting everyone else, after meeting others she fully aware everyone else isn't human from the get go
Greed: knows what ling is and vice versa - Highly suspects the others aren't human but isn't 100% certain, pretty damn confident though
Winry: knows Paninya isn't human but beyond that is unaware of others
Ling: similar to winry, knows greed's not human but beyond that assumes everyone's normal
Ed and Al: know they aren't human (obviously since they're siblings) but otherwise in the dark with everyone else
Mei and Lan Fan: fully convinced they are the only nonhuman present
so pretty much other than greed and paninya everyone's like that meme of the guy at the party going "no one here knows i'm not human", which is utterly hilarious to the two that have some semblance of a clue
eventually some event happens where everyone is revealed more or less all at once, and past that point everyone is up to speed from there on out haha - for the little doodle I posted it's still at the stage where no one knows what ling is greed is just being cheeky to get a rise out of ling's 'definitely normal human' friends

yeah I noticed that as well! I feel like I saw a post that someone upped the resolution in robobot and they were still there just less visible, but they're def not around in forgotten land unless i've gone totally blind which is a shame (i also prefer the white eyes too so a loss on all fronts lol)
I suppose the options are susie took his whole frikin face off or he started wearing concealer to hide them - given his track record of loosing his mask in fights with kirby I wouldn't put it past him to prep like that ahead of time At All

oh fun question! In terms of playing it depends on the game but in Forgotten Lands I like playing with the meta knight sword ability since I love moving fast and the combo you can use is fun and easy to pull off (also love the 4th secret sword upgrade for similar reasons) - in Planet Robobot I think the Smash ability is a really cute and fun easter egg, though I'm also really bad at it haha
As for vibes (as well as fun to play) I really love the mirror ability!
(I'll always prefer the original sprite hat, but I understand why they changed it given how similar it is to spark)

And ling kept turning into a dragon and lan fan went "hey, isn't that unprofessional for a guard or a lord" and ling went "but what if I need to catch fish??" And she went "oh fuck good point, we should go fishing." And they both agreed fish good. Both of them had dragon tails?
This has nothing to do with anything but like. I dunno, felt like you, being The Ling And Lanfan House, would wanna know.
