Glee alum Chris Colfer has written the fifth book in his best-selling The Land of Stories series — which has been translated into a whopping 19 languages — and EW is proud to give you a sneak peek at the title and cover of the next installment.
“Alex and Conner have traveled into the realms of fairy-tales and classic literature, but An Author’s Odyssey is their first adventure in a world created from their own imaginations,” Colfer tells EW. “Like a screenwriter, Conner has the exciting — and sometimes nerve-racking! — experience of seeing the characters and stories he has created come to life. The series has inspired so many kids around the world to read and I hope this fifth book will encourage readers to write their own stories, too.”

My sister is currently running a kids camp at the theatre where she works, and they’re doing adaptations of fairytales for their big camp performance,

Yesterday one of her kids came into camp with a copy of TLOS and was really excitedly telling her about it, all “Ms. C, Ms. C, have you heard of these? It’s the same kind of fairy tale stories we’re doing!!!” except much more adorable because this is from an 6 year old.

And of course my sister knows who Chris Colfer is, but she apparently didn’t know about his books, so she asked the kid, “Is that from the guy from Glee” and the kid had no idea. He didn’t watch Glee, he only knew Chris from his books.
