Daryl liked Carol first

Ahhhh, so Carol gets a lot of credit for making the moves on Daryl, but Daryl has always been the one to make the first move, so it will not be surprising if Daryl is the one to initiate their romance when it officially takes off. Here are some examples.

Okay, so everyone always remembers Carol giving Daryl and adorable forehead kiss when he had stitches but who made the first romantic gesture? Right, it was Daryl giving a flower to Carol. Not just a flower, he had a whole story to go alone with it. I mean, who knew the angry redneck would be so sweet? He is the type of guy who when he falls for a girl he is writing sonnets and we know that if there were tattoo artists in the apocalypse he’d have Carol’s name tattoo’d on him, along with a Cherokee Rose.

Oh yeah, remember this. Carol get’s all the credit for making the first move with the “Wanna screw around?” line. BUT who really made the first move? Right again. It was Daryl. He noticed she was in pain and offered to massage her shoulders. Why? Because he wanted to touch her. I think we all know what the old massage trick is code for! Daryl might be trying to be subtle but we all know, and YES he made the first move here, as well, but then he is not sure if Carol is joking and he chickens out.

First hug. You’d think it would have been Carol..but no. Daryl not only hugs her, but he’s so overwhelmed with emotion that he run-hugs her..and then goes in for another hug. I don’t have to explain this because it is BURNED INTO YOUR MIND. And I know if you are like me you are still waiting for someone to love you enough to run-hug you!  Yes, Daryl made the move here also, and hugged Carol.

So, I will not be surprised at all that when Caryl goes Canon, yes, Daryl makes the first move. The stage is set, but it’s been like that all along! Daryl is in love with Carol and he will finally admit his feelings, and hopefully kiss her next! I can’t wait!

Jaime Lannister may be a gray anti-hero (and that’s why I love him), and there are many gifs of him with Cersei and Brienne out there right now, but I think this says it all.
