To put it short, Jungkook is an open book to you. So when he suddenly disappears, there’s a lot to question. Even more to question when he finally gets back and won’t tell you anything, going as far to avoid you. You’re on a mission to figure it out, even if it kills you.

Index | Jungkook is so smart, but so stupid at the same time. Jungkook is not sly in the slightest. Kind of angst, fighting, arguing, bickering, etc. Criminal activity, it’s a Spider-Man fic. Injuries and mention of blood. College setting and age, reader and Kook share the same major. Some cute fluffy moments in between all of the action. Aunt Yoon is essentially Aunt May in the Marvel story line.

A/N | Something kind of different than what I normally write, but I’m excited about it nonetheless!! It’s sad, cute, exciting, nerve wracking, etc. I also just love the concept of Spider Kook more than I can even explain.

All throughout your childhood years, you constantly swore that you could never truly hate Jungkook. The both of you grew up together, lived in the same apartment building with guardians that knew each other. You were always over at his apartment for annual holiday parties, or play dates (which you’re pretty sure was just babysitting because your parents worked so much.) Even in school, you both gravitated towards each other due to matching intelligence and thought processes. You can't recall a single school project that you’ve done without being partners with Jungkook, or at least in the same group. Sure, you two would play fight, argue, bicker back and forth about stupid things, or wrestle, but never truly get to a point where you hated one another. However, as you sit in class on the first day of class after break, you’re fuming. You swore you could never hate him in your entire lifetime, but right now, it’s pretty damn close. You can't think of a time where you’ve been this angry at Jungkook, face red as you fight off the urge to interrogate him to hell and back.

“Hey, are you okay?” Jungkook’s voice calls softly from beside you, almost in a whisper as class begins. You don’t even answer him, simply glancing over before returning to stare down your syllabus as you struggle to control your thoughts. You genuinely can’t understand how he disappeared all summer without a single text, call, letter, email, anything before showing back up like nothing happened. Even when you went to his aunt's apartment to check up on him (he went back home for break), she simply told you Oh, he didn't tell you? He went on a summer trip, I don't remember all the details. Before sheepishly closing the door in your face. Jungkook never keeps anything from you, you’ve told each other almost everything, that’s just what best friends do. You honestly can’t help but feel hurt that he wouldn’t think to tell you about his 2 and a ½ month summer trip before leaving. “Are you mad at me…why are you mad at me?”

Parties were never really your thing, in high school, in college, and even into adulthood, they’ve never been very appealing to you. The loud, head splitting music, mixed with human bodies dancing and slamming into each other, and lastly the stale smell of sweat and spilt drinks is enough to make your mind reel. Namjoon, as much as you love him, is lucky that you’ve even shown up. Granted, he did tell you it would be “A small get together with my members and a few friends.” As the house continues to fill with bodies, you now realize that he’s used his intelligence to trick you into coming.

There's happy birthday signs strung up above the door frames, balloons tied to table centerpieces, and shiny streamers littered all over the house. Namjoon himself is wearing a crown (that you bought him as a joke), and a sash that reads an obnoxiously immature BIRTHDAY BOY!!! that came with the crown. Admittedly, despite it being his birthday, he does look a bit ridiculous as he welcomes guests in.

From the couch, you watch and laugh at some of the guests' reactions to Namjoon’s outfit. Some aren’t surprised in the slightest, giving him a warm embrace before immediately making their way inside. Most people head for the kitchen, making themselves some sort of alcoholic drink before socializing. However, other’s are clearly taken back by his outfit, wide eyes beginning to question his choices. You can hear a faint, “How much money did it take to convince you to wear this?” from the door, causing you to smile. Namjoon answers with a heartwarming, “Y/N bought it for me.” This makes you smile even harder, watching your best friend since freshman year in college.

Eventually, everyone is filtered in and mingling, finally giving Joon a break from his hosting job. Namjoon is holding your hands, dragging you up from the couch before you even have a chance to argue with him. “Jungkook is here, you gotta meet him!” Namjoon yells over the music, dragging you to the youngest member you’ve yet to have the privilege to meet. Every time you’ve visited Joon, Jungkook was always scheduled to do something else. You’ve never really thought much of it, assuming that you’d meet whenever you got the chance to.

“Namjoon-Hyung!” Is yelled over the music, causing both you and Joon to spin around almost immediately. You can see the smile on Namjoon’s face even in the dark, Joon dragging you by the hand over to the voice. While you did hear it, you’re unsure of who it was as the mass of bodies collided with one another.

“Jungkook! I was just coming to look for you. I want to introduce you to my friend from college, we’ve been good friends for years now. Jungkook, this is Y/N, Y/N, this is Jungkook, the youngest member of our group.” Namjoon quickly introduces you, a bright smile adorning his face throughout the entire interaction. “Y/N’s met everyone but you, Kook. You’re always so busy whenever she comes around.”

BTS Secretly Crushing On You

Seokjin

Making really good food to try and impress you and then immediately down playing it. He would package it in really cute little bento box lunch boxes and give them to you everyday, saying “You need to eat healthier, a granola bar from the vending machine isn’t good enough.” Also denies your compliments on how good his cooking is almost every time.
Acting cute to get your attention, but subtlety. Like, he wouldn’t straight out do aegyo in front of you, because that would be embarrassing. But like whining more when he talks to you, tries to make sure he doesn’t pull any ugly faces when you’re watching. (Unless it’s on purpose to make you laugh.) Makes sure his hair is always styled and looks pretty.
Sending cute finger hearts 24/7, hoping you would somehow catch them even if you weren't paying attention. He gets slightly offended when you don’t turn around in your seat to catch them out of the air, even though you have no idea he’s doing it.
Spoiling you, getting you food, clothes etc. He’s the type to buy you clothes and give them to you and be like, “I thought you would like this, so I picked it out.” Blushes super hard when you open it because he knows his excuses are basically transparent, smiles super hard the entire time too.

Yoongi

Pretends to be asleep when you catch him staring, which sounds annoying, but you think it’s honestly hilarious. If you confront him on his antics, he has an excuse for everything which is arguably even more funny. “What? No, I was probably just sleep walking….but sitting down. You know what, maybe you’re just seeing things.”
You’re probably in some of his music, but not directly. Most likely the inspiration behind some of his love songs. He would get all giddy and blush when writing them and thinking about you, but he’d never admit it. Also denies his band members accusations as well, despite the obvious boost in love songs within the last few weeks.
He would ask what you think, about everything. How he plays the piano, his rapping, singing, some new music he wrote, etc. He wants to know what you think about him, but without asking you directly. Secretly, he mentally jots down all of your feedback and opinions.
Let’s you bother him all the time without ever getting annoyed, extremely patient with you. You know how Jungkook said that Yoongi never yells or gets onto him? It would be like that. He doesn’t even get annoyed when you come to his studio to sit on the couch while he works.

Hoseok

Super obvious and doesn’t even try to hide it, he probably couldn’t hide it even if he wanted to. Always walking over to you and hugging you, holding your hand, kissing your cheek, etc. His love language is physical touch and he shows it with little to no shame.
Hoseok would actively try to make you smile when you aren’t feeling that good. He doesn’t like to see you down, so he goes out of his way to do things that make you laugh at him.
Secretly wants your opinion on his dancing and rapping, especially if he was the one that composed/choreographed it all. He usually shows it to you first to see how you react, and then goes to Yoongi/Namjoon to talk about producing it officially. He would also try and dress up for you subtly after you mentioned you liked his sense of fashion, you definitely noticed the change but won't mention it.
Both of you would act like a couple even though it’s not even official, the members always asking about it. “Are you guys dating yet? It feels like it’s been years already!”

Namjoon

Ended up accidentally hurting you when flirting. Like I feel like he would tell a joke and then turn around to kind of punch you in the arm (in a friendly way), but accidentally misjudge his strength. This leaves you with a giant bruise all across the outside of your arm. It made him feel horrible, even though you reassure him that you knew he didn’t mean to.
Very very obvious flirting too. You know that one smile/smirk that he does? Oml, pulls it out every chance that he gets. It’s extremely attractive and he knows it, always doing it when you’re around to see.
Like the other rappers in the group, I definitely feel like you would also influence his solo songs and his albums. A lot more love songs would come out, and because he’s so obvious, you know they’re about you. After he publishes them, he would text you and be like, “Did you like the new album? :)”
Super sweet and respectful basically 100% of the time. Very aware of his manners and how he behaves around you. Like he’s flirting and he wants it to be obvious, but he’s not overbearing to where it makes you uncomfortable.

Jimin

Super bubbly when you’re around, claims that you give him energy to perform and make music. Because of this, he usually “sneaks” you backstage to their concerts. By sneak, I mean, everyone knows that you’re there and no one really cares, but it’s an ongoing joke you guys have.
Dances with you a lot whenever he gets the chance to, teaching you while also showing off in a subtle way. I feel like he would also teach you the basics of singing, not in an overbearing way, but he’s sharing his passions with you, which makes you feel extremely special.
Hates going on long tours without you, especially world tours with no breaks. If he’s away for that long, he tries to text you everyday and sometimes even sends you little gifts from wherever he’s at. You tell him over and over that it’s not necessary and you understand that he has to be away, but he still does it anyway.
Just wants to see you happy, always cheers you up after a long day with hugs, cuddling, forehead kisses, etc. He’s just an extremely sweet person. “Are you feeling okay, I wanna make sure you're happy, Y/n.”

Taehyung

Tries to act super cool and collected for the first couple of days, because he really doesn’t know how to gauge you just yet. Almost like a mysterious, quiet boy that no ones knows much about. Eventually, he let’s this go once he sees that you like to joke around and be affectionate with others.
Taking you to cute art museums and showing you his knowledge on all of the paintings in the area. Explains to you who the artist is and what the meaning behind the art is. Even if you aren’t really into art, you like hearing him talk about something that he’s so passionate about.
You basically become Yeontan’s 2nd parent, if Tae can’t watch him he comes over to your house. Tae always says you don’t have to, but secretly, he feels his heart swell when he sees you guys playing together.
Gets lightly scolded for taking breaks in between shooting to sit with you. Sometimes he’ll drag you to hang out on set, so every chance he gets he runs off to hang out with you for as long as possible. “Yeah, I’m coming Namjoon. Be right there!” And then proceeds to sit for 5 more minutes.

Jungkook

Super shy, like indirectly runs away when he sees you. For a while, you really thought that he just completely hated you and didn’t even want to see you. It wasn’t until Yoongi told you one time that it meant he was just nervous. Jungkook eventually apologized, which was honestly more endearing than anything else.
Blushing furiously when you compliment him. Usually when his members compliment him, it boosts his ego a bit and his chest swells. But when you do it, it throws him off a bit and causes him to stumble over his words, face and ears red as he fights back his smile. “...Uhm, uh, thank you.”
He’d be the type to play hide and seek or manhunt with you and purposely scare you every single chance he got. Partly because he thinks it's cute, another partly because he thinks it’s even cuter how you jump into his arms when you’re scared of something (even though he’s the one that orchestrated it.)
Once you get closer, I feel like he would be extremely possessive over you. Not in a jealous toxic way, but in a he has such strong feelings and he doesn’t want to lose you way. Doesn’t like when Jimin kisses your hand, even though he does it to get a rise out of Jungkook, but still. He doesn’t like it one bit.

jin core would be playing mario kart and various other video games for hours. and then in the middle of the night, making an entire meal and sitting down and eating together.

yoongi core would be fresh built, wooden, sturdy furniture. it would be darker coffee shops with comfy seats and a couple plants here and there. comfy clothes with dark/black roast coffee.

hobi core would be high, high fashion. not rainbow fashion, but runway fashion. pieces that are made that aren’t very practical. it would be traveling late at night where the streets are lit by street lamps.

namjoon core would be traveling all around the world and seeing all the nature, including native plants and species. it would be biking around the parks while giggling to each other.

jimin core would be luxury, expensive city life. expensive clothes, especially expensive and designers shoes and boots. going to parties and messing around, getting drunk with elegance.

tae core would be baggy clothes that are comfortable but still stylish. picnic dates, art museum dates, etc. bringing his pup wherever he can and playing with him.

kook core would be all black clothing, tattoos and piercings decorated with pretty jewelry. expensive cars that are visually and performance pleasing. stopping in at ramen shops late at night for a snack.

I hope that all of the BTS members find the love of their lives after their music career, a genuine love, soulmate, fictional type of love. I hope they get to marry someone that loves them for all of their little quirks and personality traits, not just their music legacy and success.

I hope Jin finds someone that matches his elite humor, and makes jokes with him and laughs. I hope they encourage his cooking, gaming and all of his little traits many may not know when looking at BTS.

I hope Yoongi finds someone patient and mellow to match his personality while also encouraging him to get out of his shell. Someone to encourage his producing as he continues and give him a sense of comfort and safety.

I hope that Hobi finds someone that lights up his life like he does ours, someone that’ll make him smile even when he’s sick or tired. I hope he finds someone that always encourages him to be his best self.

I hope Joon finds someone that will calm him down when he’s overwhelmed and someone that will travel the world with him. Someone he can have a family with and fulfill his dream of being a dad.

I hope Jimin finds someone that’ll boost his mood when he’s down on himself, and make him laugh when he overthinks. Someone that will let him know he’s doing great and to not be hard on himself.

I hope Tae finds someone that’ll encourage his art career even after his music career ends, someone to cuddle him while he sleeps. I hope Tae finds someone to make him happy and to spend the rest of his life with.

I hope Jungkook finds his soulmate, the perfect match for him that he hears bells. I want him to find someone that always encourages him in all of his crazy adventures while also matching his chaotic and funny personality.

I just want them to find true love after they’ve settled down and the stress of their music career fades away.
