Kimchi fried rice ~ Jin
For some reason, your teacher decided to give you this huge assignment due on the last day of school. It was over half of your grade, so if you fail it would definitely destroy your grade. And luckily for you, you had no idea what any of it was about. So, that’s why you sat in the library, stressed, and drinking your 5th coffee that day.
A boy sat across the library, telling lame jokes to his friend who was reading something. He eventually came over, sitting next to you. You could hear every stupid joke he said.
This continued for 2 days, you weren't getting anything accomplished with him around. And you really didnt’t know why he followed his friend to the library if he wasn't going to get anything done. You snapped, completely letting him have it when he moved closer to you.
“What the hell are you doing here? I’m trying to research for this giant assignment that's the majority of my grade and you won’t shut the fuck up! If you don’t shut up this second I swear to god.”
He was at a complete loss for words, just looking at you with wide eyes. “What? How long have you been researching?”
“I haven't slept or gotten anything besides coffee in two days, I’ve been working for awhile.” You seethed.
“I’m so sorry.” He whispered, moving to his friend.
As soon as he left, you felt bad for yelling at him. He was just having fun. You groaned, placing your head in your hand as you flipped once more through this book. You continued your research though, writing down what you thought would be important. You spent the whole day there once more.
And the next day would be exactly the same. You quickly greeted the desk clerk before walking to the books. You set your bookbag and laptop on a table before going to find books that would be helpful.
Walking back with an armful of books, you noticed your stuff was moved just slightly. There was also a bag of some sort sitting on the table. You let the books drop on the table, hesitantly opening the unfamiliar bag. It looked like kimchi fried rice. You found a small not taped to the top.
I thought you should probably eat something, so I brought you some kimchi fried rice. If you don’t want it, that’s fine, but I promise it’s good. ~Jin
Jin? You didn’t know a Jin. You sighed, sitting down. You pulled the food out, opening it. Good God, it smelled amazing. You looked back into the bag, finding a wrapped plastic spoon. You shrugged, opening it. The moment the kimchi hit your tongue, you were in love. The day was filled with trying to savor the kimchi that you were inhaling, and working on the assignment. You seen the boy you snapped at yesterday and his friend once or twice.
The week went by at a crawl and you just couldn't shake the jin that gave you the kimchi. It was Friday now, and you were pleased with the research that you had accumulated. You groaned, straightening up your posture. Your back cracked, and a few milliseconds later a small yelp followed. You looked back, finding the boy you snapped at in a fighting position.
You laughed, looking at his balled up fists pulled up to his chest. “Are you okay?”
He looked down at you, chuckling and lowering his arms. “Yeah, your back just, uh, scared me.”
He looked over at your notebook full of notes and mountain of stacked books.
“Um, I’m sorry about before.” He mumbled. “About being loud or whatever.”
You sighed, shaking your head. “I overreacted and felt really bad yelling at you after. I’m Y/N by the way.”
He smiled, “I’m Jin.”
The dots basically connected in your head, slowly. Your eyes widened, finally finding your mystery food deliverer.
“You’re Jin? The one that brought me food?!”
He chuckled, nodding his head. Once you got a good look at him, he was handsome as all hell. Something you didn't notice in your blind fury days before
“I figured you haven’t eaten anything since you’ve been doing your research. “ He said, scratching awkwardly at his neck.
“It was delicious.” You chuckled.
“Really? I made it myself?”
Your jaw almost fell open. You figured it was made by some high end restaurant and probably cost a fortune.
“You have to cook for me again, I’ll pay for it.” You laughed.
He smiled. “I’d love to.”
~I don't really like this and Jin deserves a better piece of writing but it's fine. Does anyone have any Jin ideas I should write. And only 5 more days.~
