Don-the chase must continue (sketch series) p.2
"Don-The snake"
Don had a new nickname among the cartels—“Serpiente”. He thought it to be apt. Snakes are known for not only their deadly venom, but their cunning. Snakes are not rash, they are stealthy, calculating. Snakes are symbols of both desire and death. Don smiled. Desire. He leered at the woman in the doorway. “Are you the one they call ‘Serpiente’?” she questioned, looking his lean form up and down, already knowing the answer. “And you are—?” He was known for his lust for women nearly as well as for his ruthlessness in business. If Don was the snake, she’d have to become the charmer, she thought to herself. If she played the game right, she’d be able to keep him hypnotized, to sway the outcome to her favor. She lied, “A gift…from Carlos. To celebrate your new business deal.” Don crooked his fingers, motioning for her to come closer. She nervously closed the distance, looking him up and down. He was lean, but strong, suntanned skin glistening with perspiration. His hair long and wild, his close cropped beard accentuated the sharpness of his jaw. His clothes were designer, a contrast to his wild hair and gauge piercing. But it was his eyes she found to be the most unnerving…they pierced into her, making her insides flip-flop, her knees weaken. She found herself getting lost in them. She didn’t know it yet, but she had made a fatal mistake. She failed to realize that Don was both the snake and the charmer, and she was merely being played like the pungi…

~ Part.1 ~
The tropical sun beat down on him. The air was thick and heavy, and his shirt clung to his sweat-drenched body. His skin was dark now from the tropical sun. His hair long and wild. He was on the run again, his immunity in Germany having been revoked. Interpol was looking for him within his known territory, so it was the perfect time to make a move, to expand his empire. He already controlled the supply in Asia, the trade in Europe, and now he wanted South America’s vast supply network. For the last few months, he’d been mercilessly taking out its current leadership. Don didn’t like to share.
The tussle with the five men guarding the entrance to the makeshift warehouse had been merely a nice warmup for Don. He dispatched them each one-by-one, coming away with only a few bruises and one bullet in the arm. A mere scratch by his standards. He wrapped a scrap of cloth around his bicep to stop the bleeding, pulling it tight with his teeth. He picked up the arm of the goon who had shot him, turning the wrist to check his watch, then let it drop limp to the floor beside the lifeless body. The delay had been an annoyance, allowing his target to escape out the rear door, running for his life. He paused in the open door, the corners of his mouth turning upwards in a sinister smile. He enjoyed it much more when they put up a fight.
Don slithered through the slum’s maze of narrow back-alleys moving like a shadow. He was acutely aware of his surroundings, muscles taught, ready to strike at any threat, but focused on his prize. His grip on the shotgun tightened, readying himself to use it. As he turned the corner he caught a glimpse of his prey and scattered a shot in that direction, just as the man ducked around the bend. Don glided up to the bend, peering his head around the corner. His eyes narrowed at the sight of a blood trail on the dusty ground. He followed it cautiously—a wounded animal could be unpredictable. The trail led through the door of a wooden shack with a corrugated tin roof. “Come out, come out, wherever you are,” Don taunted the wounded man. That drew a volley of wild shots sending wood splintering, and Don ducking for cover, as the man emptied his revolver in a desperate attempt to fend off certain death.
Don heard the click of the empty gun, and a whimper of fear as he entered the dark shack. “Lo siento! Lo siento! I’m so sorry, Don…. por favor….no me mates…Don’t kill me, please” The man known as “El Implacable”, The Unforgiving, begged for his life. Don stood over him, his face twisted in disgust. It was time to take out the trash.

~ Kabir Khan - the silver medal ~
This is not a story about a man, who turned silver into gold, but a story about a man who turned belief into honor, hate into love and weakness into power. Who had strong beliefs and stood by them, who had strength and didn’t give up, when his own country was against him…
That’s why I created Kabir’s portrait presenting him holding the silver medal; he represents that silver medal, that he is a man of hope and hard work. A strong man who fought for his beliefs and succeeded.

"ASOKA - two sides of the coin"
Passion may envelope a prince in unconditional love, but hate makes the cruelty of a king to know no bounds
Asoka, riding his white horse and brandishing his sword, narrates a story of love and war, a story of loyalty and betrayal…
But above all … Asoka retraces the long journey of a man to salvation… a journey on a path to redemption littered with blood and ravaged souls
Then cruelty becomes Devotion… and the man creates History!

Behind the scenes:
This is the first work that I did for my project - ” 50 characters of Shah Rukh Khan”
Fist character is Asoka. This artwork is very special for me, as it is my favorite character. That’s why the approach is more spiritual, philosophical and surreal. I wanted to show in my work 2 sides of the Emperor. His pure, generous and innocent side, the side of a man, who was in love and in sorrow. And his dark side, the side of a man, who burned his heart with cruelty. On the picture I tried to show that the real Asoka is pure and spiritual, but at the same time he wears a mantle of his cruel side, like a mask, like clothes he puts this cruelty on himself, till that moment when he saw what he’ve done. All the horror of war. Then took off the mantle to be a free man.
I hope I reached my goal and you’ll feel the same seeing this artwork.
Thank you,
Xeny
PS: Thank you so much to my dear friend Mira Khan for writing a wonderful prose And thank you to my other friend Chris for helping with english.
Xeny..you are so talented! Based on the comments you guys put on the srk pictures, I thought you were all a bunch of dingbats and nothing could be farther from the truth. Still, I could see Xeny actually getting a chance to meet him because of her art and then it is going to be embarrassing.
anesya: ok xeny can add her comment here too but i just had to jump inbetween.some write here some make graphics. no one is here bunch of dingbats. we wouldnt create a blog when we wouldnt be good for anything. now i have to praise myself too cause isnt it obvious from the design itself already? and why embarrassing? shah himself makes these kind of jokes too. its not like he is gonna sit and scroll until last page of this blog. ____________________________________________
Thank you very much for your kind appreciation anon, but what an interesting way to give a compliment. Putting me in one line with dingbats (but maybe I don’t know the exact meaning of that word, as I’m not an english speaking person, so that’s why I aсcepted it as a slap by mistake) and at the same time giving me a compliment.
Though I can understand why, probably, our blog seem to you as a blatant manifest to all that you find shameful. Or you just find it stupid. (then I wonder what are you doing on that blog?)
I will not recite long monologue in our defense , because I’m sure it will not change anything , although I have a lot to say on that.
Still, I’ll answer only on the second part of your message.
Firstly, I have nothing to be ashamed of, in front of Shah Rukh, since I don’t have an intention to come up to him and say, - ” Hey baby, you’re hot! I want you! “, I’d probably modestly approach to him to express my love and admiration to the artist, who inspires me a lot, for 4 years now, by telling him -” I deeply respect you , Mr. Khan!”
What should I be ashamed of? of this blog? Firstly I don’t think he will ever notice this small page, and secondly, do you watch all of his shows, interviews and movies with closed eyes and ears shut ? And don’t you see all that he openly demonstrates himself? Our blog is just the result of a provocation that he gives to us (if you understand what I mean)
You can think that people can express their extremal (sexual) admiration to a person only because they are small minded, but you wrote this letter, so I assume that you are also went through our blog, so please, don’t be so categorical towards us and don’t put us under a stamp of “dingbats” as we are maybe in the same boat ;)
PS: sorry for my english!

Heera’s words…
Hello Anon’… this was really a very surprising comment on what you think of us, confusing and surprising…
I’ll not make you a long list of our IQ or diplomas… it’s not really the deal here, and belive me, you have no idea how multi-cultured our blog is, let’s just say that we’re from all the continents of the planet with all different backgrounds… Shah Rukh’s love is the only common point between us
When we read a comment like yours, we’re actually surised that poeple find it strange that Shah Rukh fans find him “hot” or “sexy”… that some of his pics are very suggestive and some of his films’ scenes are naughty…
We aren’t inventing an image of him, we’re just saying what any normal woman thinks about him openly, is it really wrong? are we scared that he can see our blog and find us nasty? not at all
cause, we’re just talking about evidences, Shah Rukh Khan is a great actor of course, he’s also the image of women’s fantaisies for more than 20 years now, how saying that can be shameful thing?
He’s a very shy person, he’s so cute, so humble… he’s also damnly sexy in front of camera and he knows it, he’s naughty when he opens his heart and this is normal too…
You can find on internet all kinds of things about him , from the most artistic and poetic fans to the most freaking and shocking ones…
Our blog is just the space where adult persons express openly their thoughts about him, those fans he loves too!
Behind the naughty adds we make here, commenting a scene, an interview, a pic… there is just a deep love to the artist and big respect for his work… there is also this sex appeal which make the simple indian man becomes reference for billions all over the world
You've probably gotten a couple of these already but i just couldn't help myself. That artwork is breathtakingly beautiful. I stared at it for a while because i couldn't believe its even humanly possible to draw like that. Amazing work. From what I can tell , if you fully pursue art, you are gonna be extremely successful. ;D
Thank you so much, I’m very flattered and appreciate that a lot :)
I do a lot of non-SRK drawings and paintings for my gallery, but I started drawing Shah Rukh only recently, as I didn’t know him before 2010.haha speaking of putting his portraits on a commission, I don’t think I will ever sell his portraits, because for me it’s too personal, I put too much soul in those drawings. with every portrait of his I leave a piece of my heart. When I draw him, all my emotions are nested into it.
But of course I will not keep them for myself, each one of them will reach their home, they are not mine from that moment when I put my last stroke and my signature on it, they already belong to life itself, like Shahrukh said. I started a project called “50 portraits of Shah Rukh” and when I’ll finish I’ll probably make a sketch book and will present it to him or will do a little exhibition.
Thank you again for your kind words :)
