Because Surrinder's love is the purest one... just imagine that you're loved because he "sees god in you"... he loves you so much that he's able to let go of you, so you find your happiness... and what's extraordinary, is that his love is so ordinary!!
But Taani is not really the heroine i love the most... i would prefer to be Chandramukhi... This sensual woman, who could have anyone's love with her charm and beauty, but she choose to love Devdas... tormented lover which sadness was bigger than her love, but despite that, her devoted love found its way to his broken heart, to make it beat a bit...
i'll give my all to have this moment with him (when he gives her his hand to let her hold him)
