Happy first day of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere, from Basara and his leaf.
This month on the podcast: With all the hype over fighting games lately, it seemed like the perfect time to do an episode on one of THE greatest video game anime of all time: Street Fighter II - The Animated Movie! And joining me to talk about this 90s favorite is my buddy and fighting game enthusiast, Casey (aka MinovskyArticle)!

News! - Discotek Media just announced several titles on their Facebook that will be released in 2014. They include:
- DevilMan TV Series (1972) - The Complete 39 episode series (DVD only)
- Dallos (1983) - A Mamoru Oshii title AND the first anime OAV ever made. (DVD only)
- Lily C.A.T (1987) - Which will include both the Streamline Dub as well as the original Japanese version. (DVD only)
- Jin-Roh (1999) - A film by Mamoru Oshii, will be re-released on DVD as well as blu-ray!
- CardCaptor Sakura The Movie (1999) - To be released “sometime” in 2014, on DVD AND blu-ray!
All of these titles are a pretty big deal–Dallos has never been released in America, for example, and neither of the films being released on blu-ray have ever gotten a blu-ray release in the US. And if Discotek sees good sales on CardCaptor Sakura, who knows? Maybe they’ll consider re-releasing the TV series!
I know I’ll definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for more news on these titles. Thanks, Discotek!
