dont be what they made you.
Oh my god. These panels give the same energy as this scene from Dungeon Meshi. From Marvel Presents: Wolverine #8.
To be honest, I’ve never shipped a Logan with Jean. But she’s inescapable. Even when she’s dead, she appears as a specter in Logan’s dreams. Though I want to imagine that Logan only sees Jean because he simply can’t remember Rose, his childhood friend and first crush. And maybe Rose is still sometimes visiting him in the afterlife to lend a hand, with no need to take the credit.
From Wolverine Vol. 1 #32
Kurt is showing his image inducer to Logan. I love Kurt’s weak smile while wearing Logan’s face.
From Classic X-Men #4
Tyger Tyger is so chill. She’s just out there wearing probably a $5,000 gown, shoulder to shoulder with a drunk, sweaty, shirtless Wolverine.
Wolverine Vol. 1, #17
One of my favorite little details in Deadpool and Wolverine was when Logan asks Wade, “Have you been checked for ADHD?” because it shows that Logan knows the signs, PROBABLY, from teaching all the mutant kids at Xavier’s and I just think that’s really sweet.
Logan is such a goddamn weeb. He apparently cares enough about pottery to have the eye to appreciate good ceramics. I wonder if on his off days, he goes to Japanese art museums just to take a look at some nice pottery.

His bed head!
From Wolverine and Jubilee (2010) #2
Shoutout to Logan for getting yelled at by Jean one time and immediately falling in love with her.
I want to share more context on the second panel since there's a detail that I think is also worth sharing!
I think it’s crazy that Logan got flowers for Jean when she was at the hospital, but when he sees the other X-Men, he just tosses the flowers!? Like - is he embarrassed that he cares?
From Classic X-Men #9
I also interpreted that moment to be that he feels like an asshole because the other xmen never left the hospital as soon as jean got taken in but logan is only showing up now. Like he wants to make this big show of affection and he thinks hes doing the most by buying her flowers but he realizes hes actually not there for her as much as the other xmen are. He's so averse to attachment at this point that he cant be there for her. He didnt understand why he should be, but this moment starts to turn him around
I really appreciate your take on the panels above! You're right that it might have less to do with Jean and more with how Logan just doesn't yet understand how to be part of a team.
I also wanted to add that I've revisited the other scene that was included in OP too.
I feel like this has more to do with Jean. I just love Logan's dumbfounded expression in the second panel as he's pushed into the background.
I can’t stop thinking about this little boy Logan. He’s so freaking scrawny and cute. 😭

Always be alert in the wilderness. You never know when a Wolverine might jump you from the bushes!
From Wolverine (vol. 1) #5
Jubilee is one of the few people that I’ve noticed who touches Logan. She’s always holding onto him.
I’m clearly projecting but it reminds me of when I would cling onto my older brother for comfort.
I’m sure Logan likes that there’s someone who isn’t afraid of him and wants to be close to him despite who he is.
His expression is so cute here! I love it when he’s acting bratty.
From Wolverine Vol. 1 Issue #21
Logan likes to think he’s different from Wade, but these panels beg to differ.
From Wolverine Vol. 1, #16
Okay - hear me out! Logan as Princess Mononoke and Mariko Yashida as Prince Ashitaka.
I like how Phil Noto draws Logan like he’s exhausted. I believe that he could take a nap right now. It’s still Logan in his smugness but there’s something subdued here that I find interesting.
