let it rip
Villain Cass Arc bad, but I do think it's very cute that she is immediately like "I want Tim to be my partner. Surely he'll understand, he's brother shaped :)"
I’ve scoured the internet for tidbits of info, such as: Dick’s favourite ice cream flavour is mint chocolate chip, Stephanie likes waffles, and Jason is a messy eater. But now I’d like to hear from you! What are some random batkid facts that you know? Or, what random/embarrassing/interesting facts do YOU think should be canon? Like, should Tim be allergic to avocados? Does Duke have any secret hobbies? Should Stephanie randomly know how to juggle six beanie babies at once? Comment your thoughts!
I've actually been gathering small facts as I read through Batfamily comics! I'll share the full document someday once I get it organized better and have it finished, but here's some info I've gathered so far:

She called him to talk after her first date (New Titans 1988 #89) - Learned to pick pocket as a child (Nightwing #74, but also Nightwing gets kinda racist around this era, so take it with a grain of salt.) - His first word was Rube (Nightwing #102)
Jason-
- Had an interest in working on the school play (Batman Annual #12) - When he was in school he had a 94% average (Batman Annual #12) - Interested in cars (According to Bruce, Detective Comics #790) - Favorite ice cream is Neapolitan (According to Bruce, Detective Comics #790) - Favorite color is green (According to Bruce, Detective Comics #790)

It’s the Blue Line (Robin #103). The house is about 40 minutes from downtown Gotham (Batman #643). - The name of the neighborhood she grew up in is Widowstone Creek (Robin #109) - Took piano lessons until she was about 12 (Robin #103) - Steph’s Spoiler suit is Eggplant. (I don't have the issue on hand, sorry)
Unfortunately I have not read anything with Damian or Duke yet, so I don't have anything for them.
finally finished the lines of thisssss
My Bat Academy AU is fun because it's like:
Dick is Luther because he's the leader. Cass is Luther because she was the one caught in the explosion. Damian is Luther because he's the one to who was sent away on an "important mission".
Damian is Diego because he's the one who's still acting as a superhero. Jason is Diego because he's the maddest at Bruce. Dick is Diego because he's got connections to the police force.
Duke is Allison because he's the one not using his powers. Tim is Allison because he's the one who messed with Steph's memories. Cass is Allison because she's the one holding the gun at the end.
Jason is Klaus because he's the one who gets captured. Tim is Klaus because he's our connection to Jason. Cass is Klaus because she's the one struggling with her powers. Damian is Klaus because he's the one everyone brushes off.
Tim is Five because he's the one who went missing. Duke is Five because he's doing the eyeball plot line. Dick is Five because he's the one convinced the world is going to end. Damian is Five because he's the one with a connection to the commission.
Jason is Ben because he's the one who died. Dick is Ben because he's the one with a "Jennifer Incident". Tim is Ben because he was the least interested in being a superhero.
...and Stephanie is Viktor.
wip. "so what have you guys been up to?"
i haven't drawn my child in a while. happy timsteph tuesday. dana asked them to pose for a nice picture lol
Quick survey if you would be so kind:
Please help me out, I'm genuinely so curious about this and want to see if my hypothesis is correct! Comment/ramble in the tags if I missed an option or you have thoughts!!
still thinking about tim having one of those fake baby projects in school in the baby au.
I don't know how to explain the sheer insanity of comics timelines, so here's my favorite example:
Tim Drake starts his sophomore year. A few months later Stephanie finds out she's 2 months pregnant. About 3 months later No Man's Land starts and lasts a year, during which Steph has her baby. A few months after the end of No Man's Land, Cass makes a deal with Lady Shiva. 11 months later Bruce Wayne is accused of murder and arrested. A month later Cass fights Shiva to the death. Bruce breaks out of prison well Cass still has bruises. Six months later Bruce is still a fugitive.
It's the first day of spring.
Tim Drake is a sophomore.
AU to add to the list of AUs I'll never write: All of the Robins are de-aged to the age they were when they became Robin. Their memories are also reset to that point, and somehow they're in their Robin suits.
So you have a 16 year old Steph, desperately trying to wrangle 4 feral children who look nearly identical and won't tell her their names because "you do know what a secret identity is, don't you Stephanie?"
idk if they actually do the fake baby thing in the us, they certainly don't here, but the thought of baby au tim getting a computer baby still cracked me up, so here's a visual
Batfamily Chronological Reading List
Here it is, a massive list of Batfamily comics all sorted by issue release date so you can read them in the order they were originally intended to be read in, or easily reference back to what happened when. Do you want to know what Dick was up to during A Death in the Family? Need to know if Cass was around yet when Steph had her baby for your fan fic? Just a completion-ist with too much time on your hands like me? Then this is the list for you!
About six months ago I was trying to read my way through some old comics and getting insanely frustrated trying to figure out the order they went in. There are lots of reading lists online, but none of them gave me what I truly wanted: the order of individual issues rather than comic runs or collections. I also couldn't find any that featured all of the Batkids. So I took all of the reading lists I was using, found the On-Sale-Date for each of the issues mentioned, found a few other lists to fill in some gaps, and complied them into chronological order.
This list features what I consider to be the main 8 Batfamily members: Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, Cassandra Cain, Damian Wayne, and Duke Thomas. It is by no means every appearance of these characters, but it is hopefully all of the important ones and then some. By no means do I suggest reading all of these (unless you're slightly insane like me), it's more of a reference guide than a read list.
Some Disclaimers:
- This is still a work in progress. You'll notice that the first third of the list is much more detailed than the more recent entries. That's because I haven't read them yet. As of now I've only reached Batgirl 2000 #15, but will continue updating as I go through (I'm hoping to finish sometime within the next 12 months).
- This is not a Batman list. I have included some issues about Bruce that I feel are important to the overall story, but if I were to include all of his important issues it would make the list unusable. You should still be able to follow his character arcs through his role in the comics listed here.
- I needed to cut off somewhere, so anything released after December 31, 2023 was not included. I may go back and change this later, but not any time soon.
- I do not want to discredit any of the Batfamily members not included here (ie Kate, Helena, Jean Paul). They are all important to Bruce and Gotham in their own way, but again I needed to cut it off somewhere or I never would have found an end.
For any edits you wish to suggest, please do so through this form. Any suggestions given not through this form will not be considered, and as it says in the form, I also will not consider any that don't have an explanation.
Finally I need to say thank you and give credit to the people who's reading lists I used to create this:
Comic Book Herald - I used both their Complete Robin and Complete Batgirl Read Order Lists.
The Comic Book Treasury - I used both their Robin Reading Order and their Duke Thomas Reading Order
The Unoffical Guide to the DC Universe was also an incredible help with sorting out timelines, and all of my On-Sale-Date information comes from Grand Comics Database (GCD).
I hope you guys enjoy and find this useful! I'm happy to answer any questions, and if something isn't clear feel free to let me know!
