This is character development. This is relationship growth. The first time he used that phrase it was in anger and frustration. This time, it was in honestly. He wasn't being mean or rude, but telling her the facts like she tells him. And she knew it was the truth. He was telling her to take care of herself and her family. He was telling her that he listened to her that night after Sara died when she said she didn't have her best game because she had feelings. In his own way, he's telling her he understands that - he listened. He knows. He has feelings too. Your head can't be in the game when your emotions are in overload.
